Ch.11-Survival lesson

Ryu signed, "another fruitless boring day"he said as he began to walk out of the forest and back towards konoha. Training with his earth and fire-bending, while improving has just become too troublesome and boring without someone to practice with. He couldn't ask Kakashi because he was away, constantly on missions. Naruto and the others have been pretty busy too. So far he has done 3 D-rank missions over the last week, since Naruto's birthday-Painting a fence, tracking down a demon cat and picking weeds, nothing exciting at all.

I was also somewhat disappointed as that one movie legend of the stone of gelel or galel ,whatever had already happened and I missed it.

I clicked my tongue in annoyance, before hearing a cry in the distance"Sounds like Naruto,must of done something stupid and got Sakura mad again"I mumbled continuing my walk,"Look out below!"a loud cry said,looking up in alarm, I saw an orange body fall down upon me, knocking me down to the ground. Feeling something soft and firm slam into my face. Wincing at the sudden pain on my nose,I felt a pressure against my lips and something inside my mouth. I snapped my eyes open in shock staring into Naruto's equally startled pair of blue eyes.

"N-Naruto's k-kissing me"I thought as I felt his tongue laying upon mine. Feeling each other's breath caused a blush to appear across both of our faces. I felt Naruto slowly retract his tongue,with it sliding across mine, sending shivers up both our spines. Naruto pulled fully away a thin string of saliva connecting both our tongues till it snapped. Both of us, gazing into each others eyes.

I could feel a warm liquid coming from my nose and cascading down my face towards my chin. Their was only one thought on my mind though"Oh Shit".

 "Stop messing with it"Tsunade snapped at me,"Sorry, it just feels weird"I said as I pulled my hands away from the bandage on my nose. I heard the door open, with the other genin filling in. Tsunade signed"Is it no surprise that Naruto's always late, must get it from his sensei"she stated as we began to wait for the knucklehead to appear.

We didn't have to wait long,as Naruto came running in not even 5 minutes later. Tsunade quickly began to explain the mission to us.It came as know surprise that their was only one person who was against it."No way! No way! You gotta be kidding!"Naruto shouted, Tsunade let out a groan looking completely uninterested,"I wanna be sent on a real mission,not be stuck babysitting"Naruto said"That's not what I signed up for. No way, forget it"Naruto stated.

"The team assignments have already been announced, and posted at the academy"Tsunade said, holding up a piece of paper with all our names and our temporary pupils on it."Hey I'm sorry, that's not my problem. Now, I've gotta get back to my training"Naruto said turning around and walking back to the door.

"That's right, because you're gonna be Hokage someday,right?She stated, Naruto froze"I've...what?"he said confused,turning back around, Tsunade continued"I wouldn't have thought that disappointing those young eager kids is something a future Hokage would do,being a leader, that's what this mission is about. Achieving a goal or protecting the lives of the people on your team. In fact of all the missions I could assign you, this one's the ideal training for becoming Hokage."Tsunade finished, hook ,line and sinker

I saw Naruto's eyes get a determined look in them"The ideal training?really?","But if you don't wanna do it, you don't wanna do it, I'll just reassign your team'She said pulling up Naruto's paper and getting ready to tear it"Hey, can't you take a joke?I was kidding.joke"Naruto dashed forward grabbing the paper out of the Hokage's hands.

She let out a low chuckle"I was only pulling your leg, Grandma Tsunade, that's all."he said, everyone sweatdropped, looking at Naruto with mixed expressions."I mean, come on, Hokage training? Like I'd never miss that. I was gonna do it all along."he said."All right, then, let me just see who I've got on my team."he said before deadpanning "really"he mumbled

Tsunade smiled"any other questions, you guys might have"I raised my hand, "Yea, I technically haven't been to the academy save for two weeks, do you think I'm really qualified to be teaching young children how to be ninja, I can't even keep up with the rest of the genin"I said "That may be true but, you have proven not only knowledgeable about the ways of the Ninja, but also have unique abilities most ninja aren't exposed too, I'm sure you'll do fine"she said "And I'm sure, your more of a ninja then at least one other individual in this room"she said a weird glint in her eyes. 

"Ha, who is the least capable ninja in here"Naruto stated laughing, all eyes turned to him staring at him blankly. He stopped, seeing all of us staring at him. He looked behind himself before turning back around, the gears working in his head"Hey!"he said while some of us let out some chuckles.

"If that's all, your all dismissed"Tsunade said as we began to file out of her office. "Hey Ryu, wait up"a voice said behind me,"what's up, Naruto"he paused a small blush appearing across his cheeks,"umm I was wondering if you want to go to Ichiraku's, before we head to the academy" he said, "sure, let's go"I said before we headed out"Time to see, how good this ramen stand really is"I thought as we headed out.
