she was fully aware he was coming, but sora was still astonished to see san's car pull into her driveway that night. he was really here. he was really real and he really did like her.

san knocked on her door, taking a deep breath when sora opened it. he seemed just as surprised too.

"hi, san." she simply said.

he chuckled, stepping closer to hug her. is this what heaven feels like, wondered sora. she let herself melt into his emerald green sweater, warming up instantly and taking in his lovely scent.

"sora," he sighed in delight, "kitten."

before she could say anything else, san moved his head so he could kiss her. this was abrupt, although sora should've seen it coming.

her first kiss, prettily taken by san, lasted a while. his lips magically clung to hers as his hands held her securely, all the while exploring and memorizing the way she felt. this was the way things were supposed to be, and how they were going to stay.

"god, i'm glad it's you." san sounded so sentimental as he hugged her again, speaking softly into the nook of her collarbone.

she chuckled, "you just like me or something."

"yes!" he exclaimed, "i really do."

"i guess this calls for celebratory ice cream." said sora happily. she didn't care about the soojin incident anymore; she could tell how infatuated san seemed and how genuine he was.

san agreed as he led her out to his sleek black audi, "hop in, kitten... or should i call you sora from now on?"

"honestly, i like kitten still." she told him, "and i'll keep calling you sani." with a happy chuckle, san agreed.

sora had experienced so many firsts with san that night, yet nothing was more shocking than the realization of her dreamlike reality. she was sitting in san's passenger seat and he was willing to take her anywhere to make her happy. san loved her quite obviously. how was sora so lucky? she blushed, clasping her hands over her cheeks.

there was a slight silence over the two of them until san turned on the first song, golden hour by kasey musgraves, a cute song that brought back memories to them. they both smiled and listened to the lyrics attentively.

and to top it all off, san reached over and grabbed sora's hand firmly, brushing his thumb over her knuckles delicately as he drove.

"is it too soon to say i love you, sora?" he asked.

"i don't think so." she shyly replied, staring at their intertwined hands. she wondered how this boy, who she anonymously texted on a whim, had become so close and special to her due to their circumstances.

he nodded, "then, yeah. kitten, i l love you."

sora giggled, "i love you too, sani."
