Bill Denbrough starts his day off as usual, getting up at 5:00 on the dot, slipping on a pair of pants and a tee, clipping his watch onto his wrist, combing his hands through his hair, and setting off to meet his Stan. To meet Stan at the small café in Derry's main district to grab breakfast before school.
Its their own special little routine.
Stan likes to have the structure in his morning because he doesn't like to dawdle around, so Bill came up with the solution one day to satisfy him. What Stan doesn't tell him, is that he in fact doesn't mind free time in the morning, he just wanted a reason for Bill to take him out every morning. To spend a little more time with him.
Bill, despite having pressed Stan into walls in empty locker rooms and onto his bed to slot his lips against Stan's, still won't admit that he is gay, or that he feels anything for Stan.
The first incident was when Stan had come out to Bill, Bill of course had been very accepting and acted normal for a few days before cornering him in the bathroom and kissing Stanley until there was no breath left in their lungs except for the breath passed between them.
Afterwards, Bill had pretended it didn't happen and went as far as to act like Stan was crazy when he tried to bring it up to him when they were alone.
Stan stopped asking.
There were many more incidents such as this, Stan never expected them when they would happen, Bill would just come at him like he had tunnel vision and the next thing he knew, Bill had his hands on Stan's ass and was making out with him. Then of course, Bill would pretend it never happened and would act normal around Stan.
It broke Stan's heart in a way.Even a blind person could see that Bill was using Stan, Bill was a good person and all, but he didn't realize the effects of his actions on poor Stan's feelings.
You see, Stan had been pining after Bill since they were children, of course, as a kid he didn't really understand it since heterosexual relationships were the only ones he knew existed. But as he grew up and learned about what gay people were, he realized holy shit thats me. And came to terms with the fact that his feelings of love towards his best friend had developed from something platonic into something edging on romantic. A grey space that Stan didn't know the name of. He would've said that he loved Bill, but he considered it shallow to love someone romantically that you know is using you.
Stan ignored that Bill used him most of the time however.
The affection that Bill gave him was enough to keep Stan's touch starved self hooked, He was pleased enough to let Bill press his pretty lips onto his and then pretend it didn't hurt like hell when Bill pretended to forget, like it was homework he left at home.
Stan was also aware that despite Bill ignoring the obvious feelings between them, Bill was also very, very jealous.
Once, Stan had a closeted gay kid subtly flirt with him during lunch after they had chatted a bit in a shared class. If looks could kill, Bill Denbrough would've slaughtered that boy where he stood at the lunch table in a second.
After lunch that day, Stan was walking in a practically deserted hallway with about a minute to get to class, and suddenly Bill came stalking over, walking to Stan. Stan started to say hello to him after his initial reaction which was to jump a bit, but he didn't get more than a word out of his mouth before Bill had pushed Stan's books out of his hand and kissed him hard and rough, Stan wasn't aware that someone could kiss with so much anger, Bill pressing against Stan with every inch of his body.
