Their was nothing but chaos. Buildings crumbling, streets wrecked and cars toppled over and smashed with fallen debris. it was mostly silent as well. Except for the witty one-liners the "Hero-and-Villain" duo were spitting at each other.

It had been like this for the past few weeks. They were basically siblings arguing over a precious toy if no one knew any better.

"How come, out of all the villains in this damned city, you just had to fight ME?!" Yelled a very frightening, but yet annoyed, female voice.

"Excuse you, Doctor, but I have a life outside of fighting you. You're probably Top Five on my check-list." The male said, crossing his arms and turning his head as if he were offended.

"Top-- Top Five?! I've destroyed cities, countries, even! I think I deserve at least number one there, Leo," She defended smugly, though it came out more like venom.

"You have a nickname for me? Is Leonardo to long?" The Hero, Leo, mumbled the last part to himself with a smirk and shook his head, then as if finally processing her words he looked around at the damage. Making his smirk fall immediately.

"Oh God, Layton is gonna kill my a--"

"Layton..? I-- No! EXCUSE ME! Sorry, sorry, but I didn't come here to talk about Mr. Big-Bad-I'm-Gonna-Kick-Protein-Boy's-Butt-Boss. I came here to even a score!" The Villain declared.

"Protein-Boy..? That's a new one, you've been stalking me enough to know I workout and that I like protein shakes? How long have you been thinking about that one? It's actually pretty good." He chuckled smugly once again, "But, Doctor Blizzard, you're not gonna be evening a score any time soon. This... uhh.. mess is just a fraction out of my paycheck." He motioned to the toppled cars and burning street-lamps.

"Yes, yes, and another fraction goes to the hospital bills to those that are harmed. Then another fraction to taxes. Then to, hopefully, a retirement plan. That is if I don't kill you first." "Doctor Blizzard" said rather matter-of-fact and proud of herself.

"Okay, I get it. I'll be left broke and poor unless one of us bites the dust first. At least whenever one of us dies there'll always be a winning side. Y'know? The Good-Guys." He said getting rather frustrated, but with the smallest hint of amusement.

Leo would never admit, but Doctor Blizzard, most commonly known as Doctor Frost, was actually amusing to be around. Despite the destruction she tags along with. He was scared to also admit that she was a pretty powerful Villain as well. The list he had mentioned? Yeah. No. She was definitely at the top of it.

Frost's tone and appearance grew rather serious in a matter of seconds. For a second he thought that his comment about the fact one of them had to die angered her.

"I highly doubt that there will be a winning side, even if I were the one to die." She stated, then a ghost of a smile rested on her face as she continued. "For you see, there will always be evil. No matter who you try to sway, no matter how many people say they'll be good. Why? Well, Erou, people don't change for the better."

"Erou? Is that foreign? I feel betrayed that I didn't know you were bilingual. Educate me on it's translation, if you so please."

She sighed with a smirk as she re-positioned herself on her other leg, looking around, "For your sake in changing the subject, Erou. It means Hero in Romanian. But now that we've had this lovely chat, I believe I'm going to have to take my leave."

Leo had thought he heard a noise behind him, aside from crumbling rubble. He had the thought to get out one last smug line, but when he turned around she was gone. Disappointed, but a little relieved but all at the same time worried. If he were to keep them both there longer, they'd both have an equally, painful long sentence for destruction to the city-perimeter.

The thing about Villains and Heroes here, is that no one is suppose to be harmed in the process of taking down a Villain, especially when the Hero caused just as much of the destruction. Heroes work under one "agency", which is powered and supported by the government. Which is sometimes, problematic, but no one's complaining unless buildings are obliterated to ash. Oh wait.

The powers that both Heroes and Villains have is a rare case, not everyone is born with the ability to fly or shoot vines from their hair. Heroes are assessed and picked out solely on a test teens take when they're sixteen. Villains are usually made from teens not wanting to work as a Hero for the rest of their life, or from other reasons. Who's to really say?

Leo also made his escape before he was caught by the government patrol. Had he felt a little guilty that he let those buildings crumble and let the villain get away while basically middle-school-level flirting with her too? People got hurt and all he could care about was if the person most responsible got away safely. He then had the sudden thought that maybe it was deserved. The government had been taking teens away from their lives for decades, a little cash out of their greedy pockets wouldn't be so harsh.

Maybe he really has spent a little to much time around 'Frosty'.
