"You're early," a man in all black said, and bit of surprise and shock in his voice.

"Where... Where am I?" the girl had yelled out, utterly confused with the situation, "I was in my room.. And then I... fell asleep? I think?"

"Yes, it's confusing at first, but I think--"

"WAIT! Did you say I was early?!" She screamed, "And why can't I see your face? Is this medieval-times? Why are you wearing a cloak?"

The man sighed and held the bridge of where his nose was suppose to be.

"And why are you mostly bone-- Oh My God."

"No, no, I'm the Grim Reaper. Not God. Though, I appreciate the sentiment."

They both stared at each other, the girl with her mouth open and wide-eyed. While the "Grim Reaper" was staring at her, or around the vicinity. He doesn't exactly have eyes from what the girl can tell.

"If you're the Grim Reaper then why am I here? And do you know who I am?"

He sighed, "Yes I know who you are Lexi. And as to why you're here, I would also like to know."

Lexi's face obviously paled. He knew her name. What if she was drugged and/or worse? And if this was the Grim Reaper, was she going to die now?

"And to answer your ever so lovely question. No, you aren't drugged. And no, you are not going to die right now. You're physical self is currently in a... 'power-down' mode," he made air quotes around it and continued, "Your spirit is currently speaking with me, as in your consciousness."

She was speechless. Did she accidentally say the questions aloud? Can he read minds?!

"By God, you ask too many questions. Yes I can read minds. You can't hear it, but your thoughts basically echo in here." He looked around the room. Before she could open her mouth to actually speak he stopped her, "And before you ask anything else, we are in a spirit-realm, so to say. Uhhh think of it as 'Limbo', where your soul is judged on whether you're going to Heaven or... the Not-So-Heaven."

Well isn't that reassuring. She thought to herself again.

"Sarcasm won't solve anything," He said amused. "But may I suggest telling me if you remember anything strange happening? Not necessarily right before you came here, that is."
