Stargazing

"Psst... Hey beautiful, wake up"

You tossed over in your sleep, moving closer to the warmth that was beside you.

"Hey gorgeous, lets goooo"

"Mmn... Arthur? what're you doin, it's so early" you spoke, your voice still rough from sleep.

"Yes I know that, get up I have to show you something!" Arthur sounded wide awake as he spoke.

"Wha-" but before you could finish speaking, Arthur had grabbed ahold of you, swaddling you like a baby. He took you out of the tent you shared and carried you right over to his horse, CloudJumper.

"Arthur what are you doing!?" You were getting irritated when he suddenly hushed you, saying something like "SHH! It's too early to wake someone up"

"HA HA" you said sarcasticaly.

It must have just turned 3 o'clock AM when you arived at the "destination" where ever that was.

"Woahhh there girl" Arthur said halting his horse.

You always did admire how much Arthur loved animals and more importantly, loved that damned horse.

"Good girllll" he said baby talking the beast.

"Arthur c'mon im tired, this better be worth the early awakening" you said as he grabbed your hand and led you up a small hill.

"Oh, it will be" he said, through the moonlight you could see his excitement, what ever it was he was about to show you, he was proud of it.

When you reached the top of the hill, your mouth dropped open. Before you, were miles and miles of lavender fields. The moonlight was turning the beautiful purple into a wonderful blue haze.

"Arthur how did you find this place?! I-It's beautiful!" you were in awe

Arthur smiled the biggest smile, realizing he did'nt completly mess up by waking you up so early. He walked up behind you, his hand brushing yours.

"Well me and CloudJumper were riding through strawberry when I seen a wolf run through this very field" He spoke softly, his hand now holding yours.

"I remembered that wolves were your favorite animal, and the wolf was just so pretty-" he hesitated, taking a moment to admire you as you admired the beautiful land before you.

You turned around to see why he stopped, he was looking at you with a smile of admiration and quickly looked away when he realized you had caught him. Smiling you turned back to face the lavender.

Arthur cleared his throat before silently scolding himself for being so stupid as to get caught staring, even though you were together, he was still learning how to show feelings.

"Anyways, it was just so pretty that my first thought... was "I have to show Y/N this".

You smiled and turned to face him once more. "Oh Arthur, thats the sweetest thing I've ever heard!"

he sat down in the lavender and you sat between his legs, laying against him.

"Ever since I first laid eyes on you, way back when you were scared and lost and Dutch took you in, I've felt like I haven't stopped stargazing at the most beautiful sight" he said, pulling you closer to him.

The two of you laid there for hours watching the stars, untill you both fell asleep, smelling of lavender and cool summer air.
