Julianna and Ezra busted out into hearty fits of laughter their noses crinkling with joy. Deep down I had a gut feeling, something was going to end it all. The laughing the embarrassing little stories we shared, those small things I knew were stuff I could never forget. Soon lunch was over, and we all had reluctantly parted ways.

I couldn't help but think about that weird dream I had. My legs were striding back and forth as I started to head to my next class, each step feeling heavier and heavier the more I walked. The dream felt all too real, the sensation of being cold...the relentless undying fear I had felt, and the crushing feeling of my heart wanting to burst out my ribcage. I knew most dreams had meanings...but what would a dream like mine mean, that I watch too many horror movies? A cold sensation of wind wrapped my legs like crushing tendrils of ice.

"Where are you going!" a voice shouted from behind. I stopped dead in my tracks being frightened by the sudden outburst of communication and spun around to see who was there beckoning me. No one. I continued to walk, despite the fact that I was starting to feel a little uneasy.

I could almost feel another presence in the hall. Turning around one more time, this time i saw something. That's it, just something. The something then ran closer, and closer to the point where I could make out what it was. It was a humanoid shape but it wasn't really human, it looked like a shadow if it were a physical person.

I stood there dead in my tracks while this humanoid shadow was running towards me. I didn't run like how a smart person probably would've done, I just stood there, and braced for the impact. The shadow humanoid went through my body, and for a split second, I could feel the energy of pure hatred and malice course through my veins, my vision becoming blurry and spotty like a tv that had lost signal. I had lost my balance and composure.

"Come back you coward, don't just disappear on me!" the same loud booming voice I heard before was even closer. A tall boy my age with wavy brown hair, chiselled features, and eyes of rich hazel colour had zoomed around the corner towards my way. I had never seen him before but my eyes were glued to him, they couldn't help but just fixate on the mysterious boy running down the hall. And without a sound, he had already gone around the corner and had disappeared. The boy had run by so fast, it made me question if it was real and who he was chasing. Was I just delusional, or perhaps just mildly going insane.

I had been standing in that spot for a couple of seconds, forgetting that I was pretty late for class. Once again I picked up my pace and walked straight in the direction of my class. While I was heading to class I couldn't help but space out and fixate on small details. As I looked to the floor of the school, I started tracing the patterns, and swirls of the vinyl. Each swirl was different and unique, if you paid close attention some of them looked like little shapes, just like when we were all young and we'd find images in the clouds and be entertained by that for hours on end. I wanted to relive the good times of my childhood so my eyes continued to roam and observe each swirl and line as if I were walking through a glamorous art gallery somewhere off in Europe.
