Finally reaching the class I knock on the locked classroom door hoping my teacher could spare some pity, and not lecture me in front of the whole class, and have me die of utter shame, and embarrassment. The door swings open with the velocity of a speeding car, and made the most awful noise, it sounded like the moaning of a person in immense pain, but that was just the door hinges whining from being swung open so hard, and fast. Eyebrows furrowed, and the colour of her face reminiscent of hot iron and coal, she stared me down as if I were a sinner standing before God, and his angels on judgment day.

I stared back into the dark depths of Mrs. Daniel's eyes while she was clearly waiting for me to say something, anything! I was racking my brain for excuses, but all of the ones I had prepared in my head were gone as if they were exterminated like pointless vermin only causing mayhem, and despair. She opens her mouth, and at that moment I felt an overwhelming wave of darkness wash over us, everything felt slower. She paused in the middle of her sentence, and everything went completely silent, but she still had her eyes, and face kept in that scowling position. My eyes started staring into her menacing ones, but I couldn't help but notice that her eyes were glazed over with malice, but they weren't the normal brown daunting eyes she had, yes they were still somewhat brown, but there was an odd twinge of a fluorescent purple in them, she stepped aside without saying a word, and let me into the classroom.

Without looking back I started making my way towards my desk trying not to make myself look even more foolish. I gently placed my bag by my desk and pulled out my pencil case so I could prepare to write the test I forgot to study for. I finally had everything I needed, and sat there trying to put a somewhat tranquil look on my face to not show how I was quite an anxiety-riddled mess on the inside, and how I was probably shaking like a fleshy hairless cat.

My head shot up, and my eyes went to the front of the class because I was expecting my teacher to walk over, and hand me my test, but she wasn't, she was just standing there, staring directly at me. The sudden attention from my overwhelmingly eldritch teacher made me want to look anywhere, but the front of the class. Trying to stay somewhat calm I let my attention go somewhere else, and let my eyes wander among the other student's faces instead, but I couldn't help but notice they were all staring directly at the teacher completely motionless.

Each one of those motionless students also had that ghastly twinge of fluorescent purple in their eyes, and I finally realized how heavy, and how putrid the air was. Suddenly every student snapped their head in my direction, making extreme, heavy eye contact with me, and one by one as quickly as they all snapped their focus on me they had all started laughing hysterically, they laughed for so long I was concerned that they were not breathing.

Being very perturbed I couldn't move, I was in shock at how obscure this whole scene was. The once heavy air and the unsettling atmosphere turned into the regular classroom vibe it had always been before the incident that happened just now. As I focused in on reality I realized I was the one who was hysterically laughing, and I soon noticed all my classmates staring at me, not with a purple tinge in their eyes, but with a look of concern, some with a look of unease, and fear, because the whole time I was laughing I wasn't breathing at all.
