12.Volleyball

Steven POV

I laid there on my bed writing a song...it wasn't my favorite song but it was a song. And I was gonna make it better. When the phone started ringing. I jumped from the bed and rushed to it in hope it was Alissa. Like I have liked girls before,but I really liked Alissa...like a lot. I mean practically will follow her around like a dog. A dog that never leaves your side.

"Hello.",I said.

"Hey Steven.",It was Joe.

"Oh it's just you.",I muttered.

"...Yes it's me. Now band practice is moved to next Friday Tom had to go out of town this fri-",Joe said

Before there was rustling on the other end. I heard bites of the argument.

"Give me --- phone",The person arguing with Joe.

"Damn it wait ---- sec---.",Joe said

There was even more rustling.

"Hey Steven.",Alissa said.

"Hey doll.",I said.

"You little bi--",Joe said.

I didn't hear him finish his sentence, but I'm pretty sure I know what he was gonna say.

"Fuc- off Jo-",She said I could tell she was trying the cover the phone so I wouldn't hear.

"So like I was saying.",she said. I heard Joe saying ow ow ow ow repetitively.

I wonder what see was doing to Joe, or if Joe just did something stupid...again.

"I was wondering if you would like to go to one of my volleyball games this Wednesday . I understand if you say no, I mean you pro--",She said

"Yes I will go. What time does it start?",I asked cutting her off.

"5:30.",She answered

"At Sunapee High right.",I asked.

"Yes.",She said.

"So I will make you a bet. If you win this game I will...take you to the drive in movies and out for dinner, if you lose I will take you to the drive in movies .",I said.

"What!",I heard Joe say on the other side of the phone.

I heard the rustling of the phone again.

"Alissa---go let me--- to--- Steven---I will --- you tal- in a sec---d.",Joe said

The rustling stopped.

"5 --utes, I'm gon-a ch-- the mail."Alissa said.

Joe was silent for a second probably waiting for his sister to leave.

"What the hell are you thinking taking my sister to the drive in movies!",Joe snapped.

"Because she's worth two hours and 15 minutes of In Cold Blood.",I answered

"You say that about every fucking girl.",He hissed.

"Dude it's different I really like your sister, like...like like her.",I said.

"I don't give a shit how much you like her, your not fucking her threw In Cold Blood.",He hissed.

"Alright.",I said.

He said I can't do it during In Cold Blood he never said I can't do it during Bonnie and Clyde.

There was rustle.

"Hey, so I will take that offer of yours.",She said.

"Okay then see ya Wednesday.",I said smiling.

"See you Wednesday.",She said then hung up.

I could practically hear Joe yelling at me right know.

Joe Perry POV

My sister doesn't even know what happens at drive in movies, she a good but bad girl it's hard to explain. But still I wasn't gonna let Steven do my sister...I'm going with them to make sure Steven doesn't try anything. I mean even kiss her.
