Chapter 2: The Cutest Tsundere

Natsuki's POV
I knew we were getting a new member but I never expected that Sayori was serious about bringing a boy, while he had been talking with the others, I was curious about the manga part of him, after introducing ourselves to him and he to us he just went and sat down on a desk alone, 'I wonder what he's up to?' I thought as I walked over to him and tried to see what he was doing, he must have be pretty focused as he's not even noticing me right behind him.
"What are you up to?" He jumped a little after I told him that and tried to cover it, "Nothing" he said, "Come on let me see!!" "No!!" "Let me!!" "No" "Fine then, I guess everyone will know you like to manga" I told him in a teasing tone
"Says the girl who probably keeps an entire collection hidden in a closet!!" As soon as he said that I felt red, "H-how did you know?!" "I didn't, I just speculated" I can't believe it, I just told someone about my liking for manga, maybe he won't take me seriously, I mean, who does anyway..., before it could go further, I heard Monika addressing everyone.

"Okay everyone, it's almost time to go, before everyone leaves however, I'm giving you all an assignment for tomorrow, We'll make poems and share them tomorrow"
With that everyone began packing up to leave, including (Y/N) who was apparently going home with Sayori, I reluctantly began to do the same, 'I don't want to go home...' I thought to myself.

Your POV
I walked out of school with Sayori since we're both now in the same club and it's been quite a while since we ever walked home together, too long I'd say, "So~?, What did you think so far~?!" Sayori asked me, "Not bad, it's more ambiental than I thought but one thing that got me down is the poem assignment, I'm bad at poems" I told her, "Well, you did almost always fail on Japanese poetry class so I can understand your dislike for those~" "That's not encouraging me Sayori" She simply laughed it off but she wasn't wrong, out of all my subjects, Japanese was always my worst one, particularly the poems, read it I can, make one, count me out, but I guess now there's no other alternative, "Still, everyone seemed pretty relaxed with you (Y/N)~, even Yuri felt glad you were joining us~, she usually keeps to herself and her books but she's never felt so happy about someone else before~, is she just happy about this or~, does she like you now~?!" I couldn't believe it, I really don't need any of this right now, "Um, well, Yuri..., isn't really my type"
"What about Monika then~?!, she's a really nice person and a good leader~, not to mention she's smart, beautiful and very athletic~, she gives both the Track and field and Kendo clubs a run for their money~!" She isn't lying there tbh, but still this is Monika we're talking about here, the most popular girl in our school and I'm just a lowly otaku who's into nothing but anime, manga and drawing many renderings of many anime characters, "Why with the sudden interest of who I like?, it's just bearly been Day One and you're curious about that already?" I told Sayori as I laughed a little "It's not like I'll be dating anyone soon you know?" "What about Natsuki then~?" "What about her?" "I think you would look so cute with her~, you both share a lot of interests~!!, you two would be perfect together~!!"
"Perfect eh?, hmm..." I pondered as I kinda lost myself in my thoughts but I had a cold chill running down my spine that snapped me out of my process, then I kinda recalled some vague words I can only remember as being a warning,"Even if I did find that someone I don't think I can do it, I'm trying to pass school, not getting a girlfriend besides, I can't have one, no matter how much I would want to, I was told not to risk attaching myself to anybody if I don't want to suffer that again..., you remember that don't you Sayori...?" She looked back at me a bit saddened, "yeah, I remember, sorry I made you remember that..." She said so with an ever growing sad face, I gave her a light embrace which she accepted and told her that I'll be alright, maybe it's gone, and who knows, maybe I could get a girlfriend.
