Hooves hit the ground lightly as a small group of higher ranks moved through the gate.

In the back rode a small dark-haired young woman, with dark blue, tired eyes. Next to her, another woman smaller than the her, brown hair cut to a buzz and green eyes that shined like gems. Beside her, a man with brown hair tied back into a messy bun, his eyes a dull green eyes watching the woman with short hair with admiration.

In front of them rode their commander. Commander (Y/N) (L/N). Her hair was neat and shiny, her eyes beaming with authority. She was a small woman, that she knew, but no one dared to question or undermine her. Her lips parted as she let out a soft sigh, her eyes trailing up to the tall building in front of her.

From a window stood a short, dark haired man. He watched the small ensemble approach, his eyebrows raised in question.

"Are you expecting visitors, Erwin?" He said aloud. A tall blond man turned from his desk, peering out the window himself. His thick eyebrows raised with amusement.

"Ah yes, a very special visitor for me today." A soft knock came to the door, making both men turn.

"Commander, your guest has arrived through the gates sir" A voice muffled. Erwin gave a gentle smile.

"Yes, thank you." He turned back in time to catch her eyes staring up at him.

Another knock at the door rang through the silence. Erwin smiled again.

"Yes, come in" He answered softly. The door swung open and in strode (Y/N), pulling her dark cape off her back as she let out a heavy sigh. Her underlings marched in after her, taking place along the wall near the door. Erwin stood and outstretched his hand in welcome.

"Commander (L/N), it has been some time since we last met" He greeted. She nodded and grabbed his large hand, shaking it lightly. Pulling away she sat in front of one of the chairs placed in front of his desk.

"Indeed, it has Commander Smith, quite a few years in fact, it's nice to see you again" She claims, crossing her legs as she rests her arms on the sides of the chair. She turned her eyes towards the brooding dark haired man by the window. "And you are?" She questioned with a stern expression. He held his stoic look, making Erwin sigh.

"That is Corporal Levi Ackerman, he is one of the squad leaders on this side of the walls" Erwin introduced. Levi clicked his tongue, and reluctantly sat next to the woman. He looked her up and down, and to his surprise, she was smaller than him. She pursed her lips and held out her hand to him. He mimicked her and grabbed her hand lightly, shaking it slowly.

"It's a pleasure" She muttered, pulling away with disinterest. He narrowed his eyes, making sure to wipe his hand off on his pants.

"I'm sure it is" He grumbled, crossing his own legs as he turned away from her. Erwin cleared his throat, drawing the attention of the two shorter people in front of his desk.

"If it's not too bold to say, your beauty hasn't changed in the years that have passed" Erwin said, leaning back in his own chair with a slight smirk. The woman failed to suppress the blush that crept up on her cheeks. She coughed, covering her face slightly in attempt to hide it. Levi internally gagged.

"That is too bold, not that that's stopped you before has it?" She mused. The blond man simply chuckled as he watched her poor attempt. He suddenly rose from his chair, turning to walk to the window, bringing his arms behind his back to rest.

"You know why I requested you?" He asked. She hummed in acknowledgement as she stared at the back of his head.

"I do. Apparently, you are in need of my assistance, which I find highly unlikely; however, I was interested still to see what you needed, so I took the trip" She answered. He didn't answer but she knew that he heard her.
