A tail of a hero

CHAPTER SEVEN (almost spring.)

As spring grew closer, I grew nervous. "what class am I in again? Will I recognize anyone there? Will it be loud? What will the place smell like?" my mind was spinning with all kinds of questions. We had gotten my U.A. uniform a while ago. It was in my closet, just waiting. I couldn't stay still for longer than 10 seconds. After we got our letters, my brother started putting distance with me. I've been feeling very lonely after that, so I try to go to the beach as often as I could. Training myself and getting ready for anything.

"bye Mom! Going to the beach again!" I said, walking to the front door with a gym bag I rarely used.

"alright! Be careful! Love you!" she called back. I walked out of the door and started to the beach.

"Hey! Aiya! Going to the beach again?!" Kaida called from a window next door at her house. I looked up at her.

"yeah, and no, you can't come right now. Sorry." I hollered back up at her with a wave, turning back as I walked. She pouted at my back and closed the window.

Since we lived close to the sea, it wasn't a long walk. When I got there though, someone was already there, training. Walking onto the beach I recognized the person. It was Bakugo. I watched him as he did his own kind of training. Setting off explosions at imaginary villains. He paused and turned in my direction. When he saw me, he blinked in surprise. I blinked right back at him. he glanced away with an annoyed look as he walked to his water bottle that was a few inches away from me.

"sorry. I didn't expect for anyone else to be here." I told him. he didn't answer. He started to drink some of his water, not looking in my direction. "is it ok if I train here to?" I asked him. he sat his water down and glanced at me.

"just don't get in my way." He answered as he stood up and walked to where he had been training earlier.

"ok." I said as I sat my stuff down and watched him. After a moment I stood up and walked to a spot out of the way from where he was training, starting to do some stretches, then my own training. After a little bit I stopped and got some of my water. Bakugo walked to get some of his too. I glanced over at him as I tried to think of something to talk about. "did you get in?" I asked. he didn't answer, nor look at me. "I remember you were at UA for the exam. Did you get in?"

"why do you want to know?" he said, looking at the sea. I blinked.

"Oh um, well... I was just wondering because I didn't know if I would see you around or not, so..." I said. I was all flustered. He glanced at me.

"you actually got in?" he asked in a surprised and snobby way. I didn't know what to say. He seemed like he was trying to be mean to me. I looked down at the sand.

"yeah. But my brother didn't..." I said, mumbling the last part. He watched me.

"some can't even manage, being a sidekick." He said under his breath, as he turned to the sand. I stared at him. trying to make since of what he just said.

"are you calling him useless?!" I stood up, staring at him. He looked back at me with a confused expression.

"what?" he asked.

"you said, he couldn't even manage to be a sidekick." I explained.

"oh. That." He looked over at the sea. "I didn't mean your brother in particular. I was just... thinking out loud."

"oh." I started to relax. Sitting back down and drinking some more of my water. Bakugo blinked in surprise as if he just realized he left the stove on at home. He looked at me, eyeing me, sizing me up. His eyes locked with mine and he turned away.

"I'm out." He said as he got up and started to walk away. I watched sadly as the only person keeping me company was leaving.

"I'll see you again, right?" I asked as he started to get further away. He hesitated before turning to me.

"see yah in school." He told me as he started to walk away again. I smiled. when he got out of eyesight I, started to train a little more before heading back home. After taking a quick shawer, I got ready for bed and curled up in my blankets. My mind wandering to Bakugo. "Will we be in the same class?" I thought aloud. My mind started to get foggy as I yond. Falling asleep.
