Chapter Seven

Aria's/Lily's P.O.V

As soon as I had gotten ready, I was out of the door and running (I didn't have a car yet) to the nearest authority building to change my name. I can't let them recognise me by my appearance or name.

*Tine skip to after process is finished, which is about a week*

I am no longer Lily. No longer the girl who ran away from home at 14. Or the girl who was the most successful homeless person. I am now Aria. The girl who had no life story, or a past. Just the present.

After that I walked to the nearest hair salon and asked for a full makeover. Luckily the stylist that I was with was very bubbly so I wasn't bored throughout the whole process.

Once I looked in the mirror at the end of it all, I didn't even recognise myself. I looked so different, beautiful even. But there was one last thing that should change my entire identity.

I looked up a nearby optician and quickly found the place, bought some coloured contacts and ran home to put them on. I had picked out a few pairs of green, blue and gray contacts so that my original brown eyes would mix with the new colour to create something completely different. A colour that my parents wouldn't be able to trace back to Lily.

I decided to make a surprise visit to TC's house, to see if they would recognise me. I doubted that they would. Even I didn't recognise myself. I knocked on their door and waited patiently until someone answered the door. I looked up and saw a girl around my age in a short skirt and a crop top with way too much make-up on staring at me in disgust.

"What do you want?" She said in an annoyed tone.

"I came here to see the guys, I know them and they know me." I retorted.

"You sure? They don't usually befriend ugly girls like you."

"Fine then, go and get Jason. He knows me."

She huffed and sashayed into the house, probably to find Jason I hoped. A few seconds later, Jason came to the doorway.

"Who are you?" He asked warily.

I smirked on the inside, I knew they wouldn't recognise me. "It's me, Lily. Or now, Aria." I said with a smirk in my tone. I watched Jason's facial expressions turn from recognition to shock to happy.

"Lily?! I haven't seen you in ages!" And then he hugged me. He hugged me. My crush, that I've only known for a few days, hugged me. I grinned so wide that my mouth hurt. "Why did you change everything about you? Even your name?"

I hesitated. I couldn't tell him yet. "Reasons. I'll tell you later."

"OK, come in. I'm sure that the guys won't even recognise you, Aria."

I followed Jason into their living room, where everyone was sitting and watching TV, including that mean blonde girl that I met at the door.

All attention turned to us.

"Who's this Jason? Your new girlfriend? I thought you liked Lily?" Adam teased.

Wait.

Hold the phone.

Adam said that Jason likes me.

He likes me.

ME.

I am so freaking happy, but I can't ruin the moment by saying to Jason 'I like you too' or anything. I have to wait a bit for the right time and plac. Unfortunately he will most likely say no when I ask him out Who would ever want to date me? Even though I've completely changed?

Anyway, in person I was blushing madly on the inside and I hoped to God that it wasn't visible on the outside.

"Uhm, guys, and Angelica, this is Lily. Or Aria now." Jason said.

They all had the same shocked yet recognising look on their faces.

"Lily?! It's been days!" Jerome shouted and hugged me. Oh yeah, forgot to tell you, Jerome and Adam became my best friends after a day or two of me visiting their house.

"Please call me Aria now, I'll tell you all why I changed in a bit." I said.

"OK! Let's have a pool party to celebrate the birth of Aria!" Ian cheered.

"YEAH! CHANGE INTO YOUR SWIMSUITS AND MEET AT THE POOL IN 5 MINUTES! GOGOGOGO!" Adam screamed and ran upstairs to his room.

Classic, hyper Adam.
