A/N So, so sorry for not updating on Friday but for some reason the chapter was deleted? I was really annoyed that I had to type it up all over again but to be honest, I like this version better.
Anyway enjoy Chapter Fifteen (finally)!

*Flashback - 03.07.10 - In the taxi*
After leaving the taxi, I entered the bakery and went straight to the counter, brushing some hair out of my face and making sure that I had no twigs or leaves from the night before.
"Hi, are there any jobs available here?" I said nervously yet confidently at the same time.
"As a matter of fact, we do," the lady behind the counter said. "Fill out this form and if my boss approves, I'll contact you within an hour, just in time for your first shift. Is that alright with you?"
"Yes, thank you." I said and took the form from her hands.
~~~~~~~~~~
After I returned the form back to her and left, I suddenly realised that I had no home to go to and wait, yet. Well then, I thought. May as well walk around.
I checked my crappy phone for directions to the nearest mall, and within minutes, I was there. As I entered, the salty smell of Auntie Anne's pretzels (A/N no legal hate please) made me realise that I hadn't eaten since I had left the community home, which was around a day ago. As if on cue, a stab of hunger entered my stomach, nearly making me double over. Screw it, I thought. I'll earn the money back but I gotta eat and now.
Once I had ordered my salted pretzel sticks and drink, I sat down and literally devoured it. I checked the time and my backpack (to make sure that everything was still there) and began walking after I had finished in the general direction of the stores.
~~~~~~~~
I never knew that there were so many stores in a mall! I hadn't ever been to one because either my parents were watching me or I feared the punishments if I disobeyed; so I didn't know about the general society, only that some of the people in it were cruel as hell.
After around five more minutes of walking, my phone played its shrilly tone, informing me that someone was calling. Once I had picked it up, I immediately heard, 'Hello? Lily? We need you at the bakery now, it's rush hour and we are down a baker! Hurry please, if you do well under pressure today then I can guarantee you to get a high position here. Goodbye for now.' Well then, I thought. May as well try it out.
~~~~~~~~~
'Rush hour' was indeed what it was in that bakery. In fact it was 'rush hour' throughout the rest of the day - people just kept coming and coming! I got the job in the end so, it was worth it.
After leaving the bakery, it hit me like a bullet. I still hadn't made any sleeping arrangements, and it was 21:46 already. I felt so exhausted after dealing with so many customers that I couldn't be bothered to find a community home on my phone or to find another forest; I just went to the back of the bakery, through an alleyway and slept on some boxes that seemed to have once carried bags upon bags of flour in a corner. For once sleep came easily, but my dreams did not.
~~~~~~~~~~
When I woke in the morning, I stretched out to relax and sat up. My boss, Sara, said that I had work at 09:00. I checked my phone and the time was 07:19. I got up, smoothed down my clothes and my hair, and walked out of the alleyway and onto the main road, unnoticed. In the distance I saw a flash of colour, but couldn't make it out. As I walked closer, I saw that it was a caravan. Maybe if nobody is in there, I thought, that could become my new home for however long.
Once I reached the caravan, I found out that it was in the corner of a park, almost completely concealed from the outside world from a canopy of trees. Perfect. I checked the windows, and I saw no one, let alone anything. It was completely deserted and barren from what I could see. I slipped my hand around the door handle, breathed in deeply and yanked my hand down.
Surprisingly and thankfully, I was granted entrance. Now inside the caravan, I noticed that it was lavishly equipped, with a gas cooker, sink, a living quarters with a comfy chair and a bed, some cupboards and a bathroom with a toilet and shower. Unfortunately, there was no kitchen utensils or bathroom supplies, so I would have to spend all of my remaining $132 (Sara paid me on the spot after I had finished yesterday) making my new home to be accommodative.
~~~~~~~~~~
After finding a Walmart, I bought loads of things, from a bulky lock and key to green paint so my home wouldn't stand out like it did for me. More importantly though, I got all of the things that I needed to stay on my feet for a while, with $6.71 to spare a small Starbucks breakfast. After finishing, I checked the time and it said 08:51. Luckily my home actually wasn't that far from the bakery, so I locked up, walked to the bakery and began my first real day at work.
~~~~~~~~~
I got my first pay check of $48.16 at the end of the week and bought some clothes with it. My co-workers noticed that I was wearing the same clothes every day and I couldn't let my cover be blown so quickly. On my way back from the mall, I saw a flyer advertising a job from Wed-Sat in an office. I was in luck, because my bakery job was only on Mondays, Tuesdays and Sundays. I immediately took the flyer, put it in my pocket and went home to study it further.
After returning home, I found out that the company were hosting interviews today, and I went for one. A few hours later they called me saying that I had got the job! I started in 2 days - on Monday. It was pretty late at the end of it all, so I lay down on my bed and drifted into sleep.
*Time Skip - A month later*
I was getting used to working everyday, and had settled nicely into my new home. I hadn't seen any hints or signs of my parents at all since I escaped from the community home, but that didn't mean anything. They could've been right around the corner for all I knew, and I just hadn't seen them before.
*3rd Person's P.O.V*
This continued for several years and not once did Lily see her parents. She eventually had enough money to purchase an apartment, but she saved it for when she was going to move again. She also made some friends (mainly her co-workers), but her best friend was called Suzanne who met her at around Lily's 'anniversary' of her escape. With her new amount of money, Lily was able to buy new and better things for herself like a phone, a laptop and a new sketch pad.
One day, after coming home from the bakery, she got a phone call from her office.
"Hello?" She asked.
"Miss. Renee? This is Declan. I'm phoning you because we have decided to move you to our LA Headquarters. Your flight ticket will be given to you tomorrow, when you come in for work. Accomodation, however, is up to you. You leave the day after, on Monday. Do you accept?" Her boss said in a stern tone.
"Y-Yes! Of course! Thank you so much!" Lily stuttered out. Her mind was spinning amazingly fast trying to understand that her entire goal had just been done for her.
"Good. Be in tomorrow at 7am prompt. Goodbye." He said and hung up.
And that is the story of how Lily arrived in LA.

FINALLY IT'S OVER! Now onto present time, and developing the story. Again I'm REALLY sorry about not updating for a week but it's harder for Aria to think of ideas while she's coughing her lungs out. Anyway, bye!
See ya soon!
