A/N Hey guys! Just wanted to say that this will be the last part of Aria's story (I think), so I can get onto the romance and drama and all of that stuff :) Also, my new time skip/end of chapter sign will be this:
~~~~~~~~
This is only because tapping out the entire line of dots is annoying and lengthy so I shortened it.
*Flashback 03.07.10 - Around 2am - In the subway carriage*
I jolted awake to see a burly man leaning quite close to my face, shaking my shoulder. "Miss, you gotta get off now, this is as far as I go." he said in a thick Brooklyn accent.
"O-ok, sorry for making you wait. Goodbye." I stuttered out while grabbing my backpack and running out of the carriage. I looked for a sign to tell me where I was, but all of the maps were covered in graffiti. Eventually, I saw a sign that said 'Brooklyn Bridge City Hall Station'. Well, I'm still in Brooklyn, but further away, which still counts as something, I thought. I headed for the nearest exit, fully exhausted from being roughly woken up, and once again, ran out into the night.
~~~~~~~
I had found a forest somehow; I didn't know where it had even came from but at that moment I didn't care, I needed rest and badly. I found a tall looking oak tree, put my backpack on and began to climb into its wide branches. This should be a good enough place to sleep tonight, I thought.
And with that, I, once again, fell into a nightmare filled sleep.
~~~~~~~~~
When I woke up again, I could see a watery sunrise through the leaves of the branches. For a second, I didn't know where I was, and began thrashing wildly in an attempt to get to the ground. But then it hit me; all that had happened over the past month. Me escaping. Meeting Chris. My parents finding me. Me leaving Chris and escaping again.
I do a lot of escaping, don't I.
Carefully and tiredly, I climbed down from my tree, re-strapped my backpack onto me and headed in the direction that I thought that I came from.
Eventually, I found my way out again onto a road (I just followed the loud honkings), checked my backpack and my phone for directions before hopping into a taxi that was waiting along the curb.
"Where do ya wanna go?" The driver said in a gruff tone. "Minie's Bakery (A/N totally made up, no legal hate please) on 5th Street, 13637." I told him. He drove off quickly and in what seemed like seconds we were there."That'll be $28.57 honey." He said. I paid him and cursed under my breath. I was running out of money, and fast. I only had $100 left. I had to get this job.
