It was an ordinary morning on Green street, the birds were singing, the sun was shining, and the dogs were barking? Alice Grint woke up in her room to her dogs barking at 6:05 in the morning. Almost thirty minutes earlier than she normally would have woken up. It was still dark outside her window which had her black and white curtains draped on the sides of. She grabbed her phone and turned on the flashlight. The light from her phone lit up the dark room casting shadows. She reached for her lamp and watched the light illuminate her lavender room. Her room had clothes, trash, toys, and drawing supplies scattered around. I'll get that later . She thought as she got up and started getting ready for the day.

Alice sat down at the table and started hesitantly nibbling on the bowl of cereal she made herself. Thump Thump Thump. Came the loud sound from the stairwell. She turned to find a tall boy with ginger hair standing in the hallway. This boy, Chris, Alice's brother wore a black hoodie with horns on the front and he also wore ripped jeans to top it off. Chris bounded towards Alice and made himself a bowl of cereal as well. Chris was Alices little brother, by one year. He was in 7th grade and she was in 8th. Even though he had just turned thirteen, Alice tries her best to protect her little brother from harms way every day.
" Good Morning, sis!" Said Chris with a big grin on his face. Alice studied him and sighed.
" Good Morning, have you taken your medication?" Alice asked, and as soon as she did he looked down nervous perhaps. You see, Chris has ADHD as well as Tourette syndrome. So he needs to take medication so he can pay attention also so his tics wont get out of hand. He shakes his head rapidly yes or no sometimes or he will grunt or wheeze.
" No..." he replied as he stood up to do so. Once he did the two of them finished their breakfast and put their dishes in the sink. They collected their things and sat down in the living room because they still had 17 minutes. Chris looked nervously at Alice and then back at the floor. Alice shot him a concerned look before Chris started.
"Do you think I'm weird?" Chris said as he glanced down at the carpeted floor. Alice started at him, confused.
" What?! Of course not!" Alice yelped. " Well, I mean, everyone is weird. But you aren't, you're special!" She exclaimed as she took her brother into a huge bear hug. The two hugged for almost three minutes before realizing that they were gonna be late. Then they stood up to leave. Then they left through the door.
