The week of Alice's suspension had finally ended and they were going back to school. They both had a lot to catch up on, they knew that as their mom drove them to school in their White Van. The tension was so thick you could cut through it with a knife. No one talked, just silence and the sound of the cars engine. Alice stared out the window. Her red hair falling carelessly in her face. She stared out as she fiddled with her camouflage sweatshirt strings. Soon, they'd finally reached the school. Chris looked his sister in her teal eyes as they both nodded and stepped out of the car. Chris wore a black sleeved turtleneck and jeans. He had gotten multiple snickers and stares due to it. His head dropped as he walked, embarrassed. Alice, unlike her brother, walked with her head up high. Even though people kept on staring at her and backing away out of fear. I don't know them, they don't matter. She recited in her head as she walked. She then noticed someone...
"Rex.." she muttered as her eyes widened. The black haired male wore a grey hoodie and jeans. He had multiple bandages on his face. His hands were bandaged as well. His dark eyes glared daggers into Alice. She felt a slight sense of guilt towards the boy. Her head sagged as she heard the remarks around her..
Monster....Pig....Ugly.......evil......heartless......Bully..
demon.....
The words echoed in her head, tears stunned the corners of her eyes. She looked to Chris who nodded and hugged her.
Why did he hug that monster...?.....Is he blind...?Why can't he see how evil she is....!......She probably hurts him......
Tears threatened to fall down her cheeks before she decided to run. People started to laugh at her, as the tears started to fall.
Coward.....Why does she run....s l u t....bitch........ why can't she just die.....?
She ran and ran until she couldn't, she didn't know when that would be, so she kept on going..
"A-Alice?!" a familiar voice called, she ignored it as her feet carried her away.
.....she doesn't deserve to have that brother of hers.....wonder if she is gonna kill 'em.....killer......abuser.....Little piece of-
"Ack!" Alice called as she bumped into someone causing her to fall backwards, she closed her eyes tightly as she prepared for impact, yet it never came. She opened one of her eyes to meet with a pair of silver ones. He had dark, curly, maroon hair. And a red varsity jacket with jeans. Alice stared up at him, surprised.
"Sorry about that," he said calmly as he stood her up onto her own feet. He smiled and scratched the back of his neck.
"Yea," Alice said looking down, "I'm Alice by the way.." she said quickly. The tall male chuckled and looked back at her.
"I'm Alexander," he smiled at her and Alice couldn't help but smile back. He seemed to be that type of person who could light up a room simply by smiling. He looked popular, and was friendly as well. But one thing troubled her, why isn't he making fun of her, or running away?
"Do you have Mr Nealsons for first period?" Alexander asked, Alice nodded slowly and a smile spread on the boys face. "We have the same class!!" he exclaimed as Alice snickered at the sudden outburst.
"Come on then!" he exclaimed as he grabbed Alice's wrist and dragged her along to the class.
"Hey Slow Down!" Alice giggled as she was being dragged along by the not so stranger.
Once they had finally reached the classroom, Alice sat down in her seat feeling all the eyes in the classroom land on her. She sighed and shifted in her seat in discomfort. But then Alexander sat down next to her confused. He opened his mouth to ask but then closed it choosing to ask later. The two sat in the front row now. Alice sat there now due to the fight and the teacher wanting to keep an eye on her. She had no idea why Alexander sat in the front but she decided not to question him.
"Hello students," said Mr Nealsons as he walked into the classroom. The room silenced once he walked in. "I have an announcement to make, we have a new student," he continued. Alice started to think and imagine who they were and if they were nice or another bully to this infested school. She sighed and started twirling the pencil on her desk in her hand.
"Alexander," he said putting his hand out to the boy next to Alice. She dropped the pencil and looked over to see Alexander standing, clearly embarrassed.
"Hi," he paused looking down, "I'm Alexander Beth but you can just call me Alex," he gleamed regaining his confidence. Alice smiled but it faded as she could practically hear the fan girls behind her gawking at him. She got annoyed at this, she believed that he should be admired for his personality not his looks. Alex, sneered, perceiving her expression to be jealousy. He walked to his seat and faced Alice.
"You jealous?"he sneered, she looked up at him confused and surprised.
"Why would I be jealous?" She said blankly, Alex smiled.
"You had an upset expression, soooo.." he giggled causing all the girls to 'aw'.
"I'm not jealous, just annoyed that they only pay attention to looks," she sighed. Alex's smile faded and he nodded.
"Tru-" he was saying only to be cut off by an 'uhm.' They both looked up to see Mr Nealsons glaring at them. They both laughed slowly as they looked at their teacher.
"S-sorry," Alice stuttered.
"Y-yeaaaa," Alex trailed off, both of them smiling.
"Good, now back onto the lesson" he hissed walking back to the board. And the two of them started laugh their heads off silently.Total of 994 words
