Alice sat in the principles office, alone. The room had cream walls with bookshelves and filing cabinets shrouding them. She was sitting at the leather chair in front of the desk covered in disorganized papers and a computer. The sunlight from outside beamed down on her cheerfully, as if making an attempt in waking her up from this nightmare. Tears rolled down her cheeks, landing on her hands which were balled up in her lap. Her hands, which were also covered in drops of blood. The blood was not her own, but the student Rex, her latest victim. It seemed that every school she had gone to, someone always ended up hurt. Last year she had broke three of a kids bones in their arm. And the year before, she had been able to stay for two years before 'accidentally' broke a kids arm when they had insulted her brother. There were many more, but if I told you all of them, you'd get bored and leave.
Anyways, after multiple minutes of crying, Alice heard the door open. She quickly turned to see who it was, at the same time wiping away her tears. In the doorway was her principle, Mrs Keyshawn, and Chris. Mrs Keyshawn was a short and stern looking women. Her brown hair cut short in a bob and wore a black buttoned shirt. She had a mixture of disappointment and anger in her eyes. Chrises eyes were red and his eyes flooded Alice with sorrow and guilt.
" I have already explained to your brother about this, Incident," said Mrs Keyshawn, walking to her desk, and sitting herself down in her leather chair. Chris followed but pulled up another chair and sat next to Alice, not looking at her. " Now we must wait for your guardian before we can discuss any further" The three of them sat there in pained silence. Alice was shivering, as she felt the cold waves of guilt wash over her, over and over again. Then Chris broke the silence.
"Why'd your do it this time..?" He mumbled, then he finally looked at her, and so did the principle. Alice froze, why did she do it any of this? Alice's lip quivered as she held back a sob. Then she looked into Chris's eyes, and she broke. She started sobbing and apologizing repeatedly. Mrs Keyshawn looked annoyed. But Chris looked at her with love.
" I-I'm s-so s-s-sorry.! I-I don't k-know what I was t-thinking!" Alice sobbed, the tears that fell from her face were genuine, although Mrs Keyshawn didn't think so. She slammed her fist against the table with anger, silencing the two of them.
" STOP FAKING!" She hollered at the two children, loosing all of her kindness and patience. "YOU ARE SUCH AN ANNOYING TROUBLEMAKER!" She continued, as Alice could hear multiple whispers behind the door. The principle continued to shout as tears streamed down her face, but the words unfazed her, she had heard worse from adults. But Chris was now sobbing which caused her to get angry instead. Alice then looked at the door, bored with the principles yelling and noticed the many figures in the window of the door. Although you couldn't see there faces, they freaked Alice out as she payed no attention to the conversation in front of her. But soon the yelling broke through her trance as something broke through the door as well.
" Excuse me, Mrs Keyshawn!" Exclaimed a voice. Mrs Grint, Alice and Chris's mother, She stood in the door way wearing her average red shirt and jeans. Her red hair draped on her shoulders. She carried a black purse and wore a disappointed expression. With her entrance, Mrs Keyshawn went silent. Alice looked over to her and she seemed frozen in place, looking like a child breaking a rule. And Chris now had a small smile forming on his face, relief.
"Mom!" Exclaimed Chris, running over to her and giving her a huge hug. Alice stood up, walked over to her and gave her a hug as well. She was smiling, relived that she hadn't had to tale matters into her own hands. Her mother was a very kind and passionate woman. But also very protective, she always tries to protect us whenever she can, even if it means getting hurt in the process.
"What do you think you are doing screaming at my kids like that!" She hollered, clearly angry. Alice took Chris's hand and sat him down. Whenever their mother gats angry, she can start flailing her arms like some sort of fish.
" W-well Th-they were-" Mrs Keyshawn started only to be cut off by Mrs Grint.
" It still doesn't give you the right to raise your voice at them!" She exclaimed," plus, Chris didn't do anything wrong, so also, stop wrongly accusing my son!" Mrs Keyshawn stared her with rage. It was easy to see she didn't like being wrong.
" Then what about Alice, she severely injured another student!" Screamed Mrs Keyshawn, now louder than their mothers," and how do you know he won't end up a useless child like her!" She finished, pointing to both Alice and Chris. At that Chris stood up and ran back to his mother. Tears in his eyes. Alice also stood up, but didn't run to her mother.
" You.Have.No.Right!!" She hollered at the top of her lungs," to talk about him like that!" Alice was now furious, she hated seeing her brother like this. And with that the furious principle walked up to Alice.
" You are nothing, and you shouldn't have came to our school, Mrs Grint." She hissed at her. And once she did she recognized her. Mrs Keyshawn, otherwise known as Margret, was a friend of her dads. Her father was a very cruel man who hated both Alice and Chris. He would assault them physically and emotionally. But he would only do this whenever their mother was working. Which was often since she worked almost full time. She would come over to the house along with some of his other friends and play cards. Blackjack poker you name it they've played it. And that always steals their  money as well. And then Alice felt a sinking feeling as she realized something, her father knows. She would have told him, so she should except a beat down once she gets home. She then started shaking. Although she doesn't show much fear in multiple situations, she is terrified of her father.
"Please" she begged, "don't tell my dad," At this Mrs Keyshawn smirked.
"Get away from my daughter!" Mother shrieked and pushed Mrs Keyshawn away from Alice. Mrs Keyshawn growled, knowing she couldn't hurt her if she wanted to keep coming over to her and her husband's home. "And stay away from my son as well," Mother said, "I would do so if you know what's best for you!" Mrs Keyshawn's face went pale. Although their mother looked sweet, she won't always play nice. Then she grabbed both Alice's and Chris's hands and dragged them out of the room. Everyone in the office stared at them as the three of them stormed out of the office and out the door. But none of them knew where they were going, except for the Grints. Alice knew, she was going to meet her doom. Her worst fear. She was going home, to Mr Noah Grint.
