Wave 8: Epilogue-Tides of Time
Life is short
So live life to the fullest
Enjoy every minute
Enjoy every second
Just like fireworks
You can see it now
But the next second, it'll be gone
So enjoy it while it is still there
That fateful night,
When he was now weak,
He said a request to me
A request that wishes to be answered
He wanted to go to the seashore
I was wondering why
Why now of all times?
Why not tomorrow morning?
I felt something weird deep in my heart
Nonetheless, I fulfilled his wish
We sat in the white sands
Gazing at the twinkling stars
The water gives off mesmerizing sparkles
As if it was made of thousand glass fragments
The moonlight makes it beautiful than ever
Like a huge sapphire spread before us
Finally, while staring at the night sky,
He spoke of our times together
He flashes a weak smile
Everytime he recalled each of them
He then fixed his unwavering gaze to me
His eyes filled with regret
Overflowing with love
Reflecting intense sorrow
He then leaned on my shoulders
He whispered, "Thank you for everything"
Tears ran down my cheeks
I quickly hugged him with shaking arms
The sun was already taking a peek
With him in my arms,
I slowly walked to the blue ocean
Gazing at the blue skies as I did so
Feeling the waves of water beneath our feet
The water is now hotter than what I feel
"Hey can you see that?
The sunrise that we love"
In the corner of my eye, I saw a white paper boat
It was floating on the shiny water
I don't know where it came from
But it makes me at ease
Playing among the angels
We will meet again
In the garden of Eden
Till the time we are reborn
No matter how it hurts,
I will love the same person over and over
No one can replace you
My heart will always yearn for you
"Even if death speaks,
I will be forever with you
Even if the tides of time pull us apart;
I will surely find my way back to you"
My eyes then landed to him
I leaned closer to his sleeping face
Whispering the words,
"See you tomorrow"
