Letter 3: Annoying Waves
A simple paper sits in the prison of glass
Wanting to be freed
Wanting to be read
A message waiting to be opened
It traveled from miles away
From a land I probably don't know
A vast distance crossed
Resting against the seashore
Let us stop the suspense that was filling the area
A stray message has arrived
In the transparent prison it waits
Hoping to be unleashed
I sat upon the seashore
Accompanied by the waves
Who seems to be curious about it too
The wind takes a peek
The sky silently watches
I unfolded the small paper
That was rolled to fit in its case
A little messy handwriting resides
But still understandable in my eyes
"Oh...God.This is really boring
Traveling by sea is dull
Seeing the same scenes
A never ending field of blue"
I felt a little annoyance starting to stir deep inside
Towards a person that I do not know
To someone whom I cannot see
How dare he insult such beauty of nature
The letter continues on
Making me feel a bit angry at his statements
Making me sigh at the end of it
That's when an idea ran into my mind
I ran towards my simple house
Grabbing for two simple things
I did what my instincts was telling me
I replied
With a certain thought in mind
That it is impossible to reach that person
That it will just ride along the wandering waves
Sinking at the deepest part of oblivion
"To you, an unknown jerk
You must learn to appreciate
It is not dull
But your mind is"
I threw it upon the ocean
At waited for a while
The currents slowly snatching it away
Slowly fading from my view
