Wave 4: Resurfacing Dreams
I hated fate
For stealing his priceless memories
Childhood was the sweetest of them all
One of the precious treasures of human kind
That's when I realized,
I cannot leave it like that
I must do something
For this unfinished story
There is still hope
I know that the mind forgets
But the heart does not
That's what I believe
I will pull them back
Even if they were buried in the deepest part of the ocean
I will arrange the missing puzzles
Placing them inside his heart once again
Hoping to awaken the slumbering memories
The ones that was slumbering deep in his heart
Trapped with the prisons of the accident
I shall free it with my own hands
I pray every night, every day
With patience,
This will not just be a dream
But a prayer fulfilled
Everything shall go with the flow of how it should be
I will never stop believing
For feelings are powerful
Even if I became annoying,
I still approach him every day
To my surprise,
He never pushed me away
He keeps listening
As I retold the past
Even him yearns for his lost identity
That is our similarity
That led us closer
A chance showed itself
During a school trip
When all was busy,
I kept staying by his side
We stood beside a lake
I made a paper boat and gave it to him
That's when he felt something in his mind
The final chime that called his memories
He felt pain
The pain coming from the depths of his mind
The pain of being forcefully pulled out of sleep
They were now awake and alive
When the ache subsided,
He turned his gaze at me
Eyeing me with longing eyes
Staring at me with regret
His next phrase was irreplaceable
"I'm so sorry..."
I was really heartwarming
Tears quickly fell down out of joy
He grabbed my arm
Hugging me like there was no tomorrow
I then spoke
"Welcome back, it's nice to see you again."
