-6 MONTHS LATER-

Andy was lounging in the cell he'd come to know as his home when the door opened. His fingers twitched and he suppressed a smirk when a dark haired teen, around Jinxx's age was shoved into the cell, the door slammed shut before Andy could make any kind of remark.

The teen huffed and slammed his back against the wall, sliding down onto the ground. Andy pretended to not hold any interest, relaxing as he let his body take control. He did what he did best. He waited. Andy had gotten very good at it over the years. He waited 3 years before having contact with anyone from this group of people John had told him about. He waited 6 months before he had any kind of urge to commit any crime small enough to get him tossed in his cell. So, he'll be damned if he couldn't wait for this boy to say something first.

"Who are you?"

Andy smirked as he took the bait. "Andy. You?"

"Christian. Call me CC."

Andy nodded and relaxed again, closing his eyes, showing obvious disinterest in the boy in front of him.

CC fidgeted. He paced, tapped his foot, knocked on the wall lightly. He was impatient, impulsive. "What'd you do?"

"Stole a roll. You?"

"Punched a hole in the wall."

Andy's eyes snapped open, another smirk gracing his lips. "Badass."

CC shrugged and sat down. "It was an accident. I was goofing around with my friend during our down time and it got a little rough. Next thing I know my fist is stuck in the wall and my best friend is running off to tell some guard."

"Some friend," Andy snorted.

CC shrugged again and laid back on the ground, remaining still for nearly a whole minute before sitting back up. "How old are you kid?"

"Almost 14."

"Shit," CC whistled.

Andy shrugged, mimicking CC's previous actions. "I've been in and out since I was 10. Of course, they keep an extra close eye on me. One toe out of line and I'm tossed into a cell."

"I hear that," CC groaned. "My brother was a traitor. They executed him when I was 2. I didn't even know the guy all that much, but they act like I'm the traitor. It's so not fair." He rolled his eyes and crossed his arms.

"They need to be taken down a notch." Andy agreed.

CC looked at him. "What are you talking about?"

"I'm gonna tell you something, and I need you to listen."

CC sat there as this almost 14 year old told him about a man named John, and the things they discussed before John was executed. He told him about his powers and how there were others. CC was far less quiet about his disbelief, snorting as Andy spoke, tapping, glancing around. "You're talking about heirecy." CC said finally, getting up and pacing.

"Why? Because we'll be five people who get together who just happen to all have secret hidden powers?" Andy scoffed. "That's not heirecy CC, that's circumstance."

"How do you know how many there are? Just because some old dude told you so?"

Andy shook his head, pulling the pendent out, tracing it, stopping at each point. "5 of us. Together, we'll be unstoppable."

"Unstoppable for what?"

"Not sure yet." Andy shrugged.

"Wait, I thought you could see the future or whatever, why can't you just..." CC tapped his temple.

"Doesn't work like that. It's more like an intuition. I know what to do when I need to do it. I didn't need that roll, but I needed to be here to meet you so I could tell you about this." Andy waved the pendent.

"What do you know anyways? You're just a kid." CC scoffed. "This is stupid."

"Look," Andy glared at him. "CC, your power? It's just going to keep growing. It's not going to stop at walls, you're going to shake this whole place with your power. You can learn to control it, harness it, direct it." He sighed and leaned back against the wall, tracing the star. "But I guess, if you don't want revenge for your brothers death..."

The two fell silent. Andy was practically buzzing in his seat, but he hid it well. Part of him really wanted to yell at CC that he just had to join, that it didn't matter what they thought, this life had already been chosen for them. But another, bigger, louder part of him yelled at him to not be so stupid, and to wait. He was good at waiting.

Andy got the feeling he would be waiting a lot in the future.

"You said there's more of us? Like me?"

"At least 5," Andy confirmed.

"You, me...?"

"I know of one other. For safety purposes, I won't tell you."

"Safety? For who?" CC asked incredulously.

"For you. For them. For me." Andy shrugged. "When the time comes, we'll gather."

"When? And what will we do when we do gather?" CC asked anxiously.

"I don't have an answer for either of those questions yet. I need to find the other two members first." Andy told him. "Until then, we wait."

"Wait? I'm not very good at waiting." CC admitted. "Or sitting still."

"You'll learn." Andy promised, holding his hand out. "So? CC? You in?"

CC stared at his hand, weighing his options. Andy raised his eyebrow and started retracting his hand. Without warning, CC lunged forward and shook Andy's hand quickly. "I'm in."

Andy smirked, withdrawing and putting the pendent back in his pocket. "You have to be patient, alright? You'll know when I'll need you."

"How?"

"You ask a lot of questions." Andy groaned, rubbing his temples.

"Yeah well," CC huffed. "You don't give a lot of answers."

"I'll give them when I have them."

The door opened, the groan of the hinges echoing against the stone. CC looked at Andy who didn't move a muscle. Instead, it was CC who got dragged out- his mother paid for the wall to be fixed, so CC was free to go.

Andy closed his eyes, relaxing again, praying CC didn't crush the bead clutched in his hand.
