"Now the day bleeds into nightfall
And you're  not here to get me through it all
I let my guard down
And then you pulled the rug
I was getting kinda used to being someone you  loved"

I held the tears back as I pressed play on my aux. I wasn't hurt, I wasn't depressed. I hadn't gone through a break up, my parents wasn't fighting neither did my dog die. I was just sad. Sad. Maybe I was sad because it's rainy outside and the little kid can't play football  with his daddy before his dad has an accident or maybe I was sad because that boy's mom was seeing him off to college or maybe I was sad because someone, somewhere got friendzoned or rejected by their crush. You see my point? I don't have an exact reason yet I feel my heart aching physically in my chest. Why? Am I just sensitive because everyone of these things are happening around me? Maybe I should hit shuffle on my playlist, I thought to myself.
And in that exact moment, I'm forced to turn down my music as I heard noises coming from the underneath of my car. The last thing that could happen is me breaking down here. I'm a girl, for one and secondly I don't know how to handle cars. I pull over to the side of the road hoping whatever just happened to it was going to figure itself out. I ran my fingers through my hair and placed my hand on my heavily strained neck. After about 10 minutes later, I decide to start driving again and to my amazement the sound actually did disappear which was kinda cool. I park in my usual spot and realise it's back to school.

The piercing sound of the school bell snaps me back to reality . Oh great, it's math. What a way to start a Monday morning. I roll my eyes and drag my feet to Mr. Villes room. You know how they say you either a math or english person but you can't be both? Well I'm not friends with math, we don't have anything in common. Never have, never will and I won't call myself an author or poet either but I'd rather be there than here. Mr Ville is a calm person, I would say. Messy black hair, untidy outfit and short as a little troll but he is laid back which is super cool but he has his moments. Like last week Jake got detention just because his paper wasn't stapled. Who does that? But thankfully Eli has the same class as me which puts me out of my misery.

Elijah and I met at a coffee shop about a year and half ago. Our orders accidentally got switched and he being a sweet soul didn't just return it but even got me a new one incase I got thirsty on my drive home. We talked and after a few days, he told me he was moving school which was pretty cool. We've been friends ever since. He's a very attractive guy. Black curly hair, deep voice and he's 6ft tall! His super funny and can lighten my mood whether I'm crying over stomach cramps or solving for x.

"Bet you couldn't toss this paper into that bin", I said to Elijah.

"Hmm, you're not only talking to a fire guy but also a guy who has more basketball trophies than your Instagram followers", he smirked back.

"I believe in you. Shoot your shot. That paper is the only one you won't be turned down by". We both laughed uncontrollably at my sassy little comeback as Eli missed the shot and hit my Villes shoe instead.

"Ms May, Mr Rivera...Get out of this classroom. You too have been disturbing the class since the very beginning. Please leave!", he yelled. We were laughing extremely loud as we crashed our feet onto the hallway floor.
"We make a pretty good team", I smiled at Elijah.
"We do, don't we", he replied draping his long arm over my shoulder. It was almost time for our next class. So we said our goodbyes and parted ways. As I was on my way to the library I heard really loud crying coming from the girls bathroom....

Hi guys! I'm know this chapter is real short and boring but isn't every story boring in the beginning? The next chapter is short as well but I promise you, by chapter 3, the ride begins.
