Chapter 18- I Need My Girl Back

                    *Gio's P. O. V*

I come out of the shower and I hear noises in my house. I just assume it's my mom and put on my shirt. As I go towards my bed to grab my phone in hopes that Alaïa replied or called me back I hear a loud clasp! It sounded as if glass shattered and I immediately ran  into my mom's room.

"Mom! Are you okay?", I yell thinking it was my mom but instead someone else stood in front of me.

"Oops. It was an accident", Ellie says as I look at the little blue frame thrown onto the ground. The glass broken into a million pieces and a picture of Alaïa and I laid abandoned on the ground. My mom always considered Lai a daughter. She loved her as much as she loved me and my brothers. We basically grew up spending our days in and out of each other's houses. I knew that this was done on purpose. She threw the frame on the ground so it would break. She is devious. To be honest, I don't even know why I'm still with her.

"Are you sure it was an accident? This looks quite intentional to me", I say picking up the pieces to clean up this mess.

"Are you saying I'm lying? I'm not, but even if I was, it served no purpose here because you guys aren't friends anymore right?", he smiled so happily.

"Why are you so happy about it?God!", she really is beginning to fraustrate me.

"No need to get mad baby. But you're so cute when you're mad"

"Ellie look. I think you need to leave now. I have some work to take care of", I tell her.

"What do you mean? Aren't we going to hang out?"

"Later on. For now I have some really important work to do and some things for my mom. I'll call you later or something", I say walking towards the door so she can leave.

"But Gio I-"

"Bye!", I closed the door. I know it's rude but to somebody like this it didn't matter. I was going to break up with her there and then but I actually had a plan and if I did, things would have taken a turn for the absolute worst.
I'm going to go over to Keyya and explain this whole situation to her considering she is my last hope to get my girl back. I drive over to her  house and I see her car parked in the driveway which means she is still home. I knock on the door praying she cooperates with me.

"Hey Gio!", she smiles. "Come on in"

"Hi Key", I hug her. "I really need your help"

"Is everything okay? I saw Alaïa today and she didn't seem herself but she wouldn't tell me what happened. You know anything?", she asks concerned.

"I'm the cause", I hang my head down. "That's why I'm here to ask for your help"

"S-sure. How can I help?"

"For starters I've been a complete jerk. I know that Alaïa cares most about me and I broke her trust. You know, ever since I started dating Ellie my life feels like I'm in hell and like I'm dating Satan. I want to break up with her so desperately but there's a reason I can't. She made me cut all ties with Alaïa. I didn't want to. I would never but I didn't have a choice. I did it to protect you. Now Alaïa doesn't believe me and I'm afraid I will lose her forever", I explain to her.

"Wait what reason and why does this involve me?", she asked with worry.

"Key... She knows you're gay. She and her accomplice Stacy has been stalking you and Alaïa for a while. They are jealous of you guys. They hate that you both are smart, sweet and beautiful. So she threatened to tell the whole school if I didn't end my friendship with Lai. I agreed because it's your life and when you feel you're comfortable you should come out. I didn't want to ruin your life ", I said to her. I didn't know whether she was mad, upset scared or shocked.

" Wow. You actually risked your Alaïa for my happiness", she said and I was still confused with her reaction. "But how'd you know? Did Alaïa tell you?"

"Uhhh"

"It's okay. You're part of the fearless four. You had the right to know. So how can I help?", she asked. Wow, this girl was confusing.

"The only way of getting her back is if I break up with Ellie. But if I break up with her, she will run straight to social media. So can you help me? Look im not rushing you into coming out. That's entirely up to you and if you feel like you need more time then I respect that but I just wanted to try", I assure her.

"Gio, I know how much she means to you and if it will bring you both together then I'm prepared to do it. And you're in lucky because 2 days ago I came out to my family", she says.

"Really? How did they take it?", I was so happy for Keyya.

"Derek was a little mad but my mom was quite understanding. They told me that I'll take time but soon enough there'll get used to it. But my grandparents are a whole different story. My grandma said I should not come back if it's not with a guy so I left", she says. I feel the sadness in her voice for the last sentence. Her grandma grew her up because her parents was always working. All her dance recitals, talent shows, music lessons, her grandma supported her through all and for her to disown Keyya was pretty harsh.

"You must be devastated", I tell her.

"No not really. I mean it is heartbreaking because my grandma means everything to me but they're homophobic which is not cool and not the energy I want around me", she said as she shrugged her shoulders. "Natalie also doesn't have parents so after school were applied to the same college, hopefully we both get accepted and we'll get an apartment and then things will figure itself out"

"I'm really happy for you Keyya. You deserve all this. You're amazing. So do I take that as a yes?"

"Yes! My family is most important to me. If they know about it then the opinion or the rest is not important to me. Ellie can't win every time. So I will publicly announce it and. To the hell with Ellie", Keyya says as she grabs her phone out of her pocket. She logs into Instagram and click on the post option. She chooses about 3 pictures of Natalie and her which was pretty cute and captioned it 'Mrs Me❤️🌹'. Immediately comments started pouring in. Some saying 'OMG she's gay?!' others saying, 'Wow, Wither Highs top artists is gay. What a joke' while some were very supportive and said things like 'You guys are the cutest. You shouldn't worry what others think <3 '.

"All done", she smiles.

"Thank you soooo much Keyya. I don't know how I could ever repay you", I say hugging her and driving of to Ellie's.

I get to Ellies house to see her is walking her puppy not to far away from her house. I stop the car and run to her.

"Thats it! We're over. I've had enough of you telling me what to do and constantly controlling me as if I'm 4. You made me lose the most valuable person in my life and I don't think I'll ever forgive you. I was just holding back because of Keyya but now, I think you should go and tell the whole world if you please. I would rather spend a minute with Alaïa and then a day with you. In fact, I want to spend my whole life with her. So don't think of calling me or harming my girl. Stay away from us. Got it? You're nothing but a mean girl who doesn't have anything better to do. Don't ever call me again ", I say as I jump into my car and rush over to Alaïa's. I've never felt this alive. Finally, things will go back to the way it was and I can see my angel again. As I drive in the direction of her house, my phone unexpectedly rings...
