Disclaimer before you read: I know close to nothing about the personalities of Tom's family so I'm just kind of making it up as I go. If I say something wrong please let me know. Also, I live nowhere near the UK nor have I ever been there so once again if I say something wrong PLEASE let me know so I can fix it! Enjoy!

Being in Tom's embrace again was wonderful. It felt like I was in heaven. I squeezed him tight hoping to never have to let go again. "How was your flight?" Tom asked as he buried his face in my hair.

"It was good. Exhausting but good. I didn't sleep at all."

"You didn't?" Tom held me at arms length as he regarded me in surprise. I quickly pulled him back towards me to continue our hug. "Was it because you couldn't stop thinking about me?"

I slapped his arm lightly. "Of course. It's been two weeks since I've seen you."

"Long distance sucks."

"It sucks more since you live in a different country."

"Technically I could argue that you live in the different country."

We continued to bicker playfully as we went to get my luggage. The group of girls that had been attempting to mob Tom had backed off so his security didn't have to work as hard. Tom hoisted my luggage off of the conveyer belt and onto a trolley. Then we walked out to the car hand in hand.

"I'm not going to lie, riding on this side of the road feels really weird," I commented as we made our way to Tom's house.

"How do you think I felt when I went to the US for the first time?"

"You seem pretty used to it now."

"I learn how to adapt pretty quickly."

"I hope I can too."

"I'm sure you will. You adapted to Chelsea pretty well. How is she by the way?"

"She's so cute. I'm still sad that Valerie moved out but I spend most of my free time at her house so I guess it works out."

"Didn't you say she moved into a house down the street?"

"That information is irrelevant."

Tom rolled his eyes. "I can't wait for you to meet my family. Are you nervous?"

"A little. I think it would be weird if I wasn't. But I think I'll do okay."

"I know you'll do great. My mum already loves you and she hasn't even met you yet."

"Well that boosts my confidence by a large margin."

I let out a big yawn. Tom gave me a soft smile. He reached his hand over and placed my head onto his shoulder. "We have a little bit of a drive ahead of us. Why don't you take a small nap?"

As much as I wanted to protest I knew that getting a bit of rest wasn't such a bad idea. I snuggled into my boyfriend's shoulder and closed my eyes. I let the gentle humming of the car lull me to sleep. Before I knew it we had arrived.

"We're here," Tom whispered while shaking me gently. I rubbed my eyes and looked around. Only then did I notice the five people waiting for us outside of the house. My anxiety immediately shot to an overwhelming level. I took several shakey breaths that I was barely able to conceal from my boyfriend. "You ready?" he asked as he extended his hand towards me. I nodded my head even though that was a complete lie.

All of my worries melted as we approached Tom's family. We got almost halfway up the walkway before his mother let out the most adorable squeal and ran towards us. She engulfed me in a tight hug and rocked me back and forth. "I've been waiting so long for this!" she said into my hair. "You're even prettier in person!"

The hugging and rocking went on for far longer than I thought it would. I didn't mind too much though. It had been a long time since I had felt the warm embrace of a mother. Eventually Tom stepped forward and peeled his mom off of me. A few quick handshakes and shy waves were exchanged between his father, siblings, and me before I was ushered inside and into the kitchen.

"You must be hungry. Just let me know what you want to eat. I've been studying American recipes all week," Tom's mom- or Nikki as I had been instructed to call her- said.

"You mean months," Harry snorted as he walked by carrying one of my bags.

Nikki threw a salt shaker at him. It missed horribly and bounced off the kitchen wall. I laughed as I said, "I'm sure anything you make will be delicious."

The boys finished moving all of my things into the spare bedroom as I ate the mouthwatering plate of food Nikki put in front of me. "Is it good?" Tom's father Dominic asked as he sat down across from me. I nodded vigorously. It was all I could do with my mouth full of food.

"I told you she'd be willing to try new things," Tom told his mom. He hopped up onto the kitchen counter and ignored the death glare his mother was giving him.

"Of course she is," Sam snickered as he leaned against the counter next to him. "She's dating you for crying out loud."

Tom playfully hit his brother on the back of his head. Laughter erupted from everyone in the room. When I was finished eating I stood up to take my plate to the sink. Before I could even reach for it Nikki had snatched the plate from me and waltzed her way over to the sink. I looked to Tom in surprise. He just shrugged and smiled.

"So what's it like growing up in America?" Harry asked me.

"I don't know. What's it like growing up here?" I questioned back.

Harry looked like he was about to answer back but he couldn't come up with a feasible answer. "I see your point," he replied instead.

"Alright everyone. I know you're all eager to get to know Vanessa but she's had a long flight," Tom announced. He hopped down from the counter and grabbed my hand. "Let me show you to your room."

I waved goodbye to Tom's family as I let him lead me out of the kitchen and up the stairs. It was time for a much needed shower and a long nap.

A/N: Hi guys! Long time no see! As I stated above I know next to nothing about living in the UK. As such if you could send me/comment some nice places for Tom and Vanessa to visit i would greatly appreciate it. Also send me foods that are popular or even just every day foods. Thanks so much in advance and I hope to bring you a new chapter really soon!
