{FLUFF} Toriel X Fem!Reader

It'd been not that long since monsters had come to the surface, and humans were still getting used to seeing mini Mike Wasowskis walking around in their local Shop-n'-Save. Surprisingly, humans got along with monsters pretty well, but still had yet to be accepted as citizens in Ebott City. You personally had no objection to monsters-  they seemed like ordinary people.

But it was still strange to see a bunny woman walking down the sidewalk across from you, paying no mind to the fall leaves. You were on your way to the local Starbucks, where it looked like the bunny had just been. You pushed open the door and were met with a crowd of people.

'Why's it so crowded in here?' you though to yourself. Or you might've said it out loud- it was too noisy to tell. You realized more than half of the people waiting in line were monsters. You chuckled when you realized they've never seen anything like it before.

You checked your phone and took off your beanie. There were the usual notifications of strange weather patterns, record crime rates in places you didn't care about, and... monsters speeding up global warming? People were so gullible nowadays...

You looked up from your phone at a tap on your shoulder. You turned to see a potted flower monster and a small child. The flower gave you a glare before saying,

"Pal, there's five feet of space in front of you. Mind moving along?" Your face grew red when you realized the sarcastic plant was right- you were holding up the line. You muttered a "Sorry" before stepping forward, feeling embarrassed.

"Flowey! That was rude!" Came another voice from behind you. You assumed it was the child speaking to the potted monster.

"She wouldn't have moved if I hadn't said something. Humans are so stupid." You heard a scoff from the flower. 

"Excuse me? Ma'am?" The cashier said. You were at the front of the line.

"Oh, uh, sorry. I'll have the caramel cappuccino and the breakfast sandwich," You ordered quickly, flustered.

"Coming right up," He typed the order into the machine and said "Next!"

You scooted out of the way and over to the pickup station, where a few people were waiting.

"Order for Undyne?" An employee said.

"O-oh, uh, t-that's me." A yellow lizard stepped up to the counter and picked up a large drink holder. Out of the corner of your eye, you saw someone come out of the bathroom. It was a tall, kind-looking goat lady. She walked over to the child and flower that were behind you.

You looked away and blushed slightly, surprised at your own reaction. You knew your sexuality-Bi- but had never really been in a serious relationship with another woman before. Suddenly, a voice snapped you out of your thoughts.

"Hello there. I'm Toriel." The goat woman said.

"O-oh, uh hi!" You said.

"I'd like to apologize." The lady motioned to the child and flower, whom you had not realized were also standing next to her until then.

"F-for what?" You asked. 'God dammit I'm stuttering aren't I...'

"Frisk here told me that Flowey insulted you earlier. I'm terribly sorry about that."

"O-oh, that? Don't worry, i-it's fine..."

"No, it's really not. Flowey, do you have anything to say for yourself?"

"Not really."

"Flowey, apologize right now."

"Fineeeeeee..." The flower sighed over-dramatically before finally turning to you. "I'm sorry for reminding you of your obligation to the other people in line to move forward."

"Apologize properly."

"Ugh. I'm sorry..., uh..." the flower squinted. "What's your name?"

"Y/N."

"...y/n."

"That's better, Flowey." The monster smiled. "I hope to see you again sometime, y/n."

"Oh, uh, you too... Toriel."

The monster took the human child by the hand and left the shop, leaving you flustered and completely ignorant to your chilling beverage on the pick-up counter.

Frisk silently wispered "I ship ittt!" to Flowey as they walked with Toriel down the sidewalk.
