What Am I (A why don't we story)

Chapter 3

                                              ////Daniels pov////

I've never done this ever. I don't fall for people the first day. And now I probably screwed it up big time. Of course she wasn't ready for it. I'm staring at Kalea I just asked her out after only knowing her for a couple of hours... What if she says no? 

"Ugghh" she sighs "Yes Daniel I'll go on a date with you" she says. We are standing in the kitchen and I swear I almost scream in excitement that she actually said yes! emphasis on almost.

I just said yes to go out on a date with a boy I met today. Everything my mom has always told me not to do. But screw it if i get hurt I don't think I'll mind, maybe... We go back out to the pool deck. And I swear Amara is sitting on Jonahs lap. That girl has way more spunk then I do. "Ummm." Daniel and I are both equally puzzled. "Is that something that always happens?" I ask. "Uh well ya seee.. yea it happens quite frequently just not usually that quick." He says and makes a face. I laugh at him and those blue eyes sparkle. 

"Come on" I say and we jump into the pool.

It's Friday 4 days after Amara and I went to the why don't we house. And the agreed upon day for mine and Daniels first date....

D- hey beautiful (sorry not gonna stop anytime soon) I am picking you up @8 wear something nice ;)

K- where are you taking me???

D- It's a surprise! 

K- Daniiii

D- not telling just be ready by 8 byeeee

K- Daniel James Seavey!  

We have been texting nonstop over the past few days I don't know why I even backed away from Daniel that one night in the pool. I've only ever been in one relationship before this and that did not go over well. So maybe I'm just scared Daniels gonna break my heart when I should be contemplating how not to break his. 

Time goes by most of it is just me and Amara just lazing about the apartment. Shes gone to see Jonah a couple of times this week and lets just say hasn't come back a couple of nights. the funniest thing is she thinks I don't know. "Sooo hows your week been Amara?" I ask as we are sitting on the couch, her smiling and texting on her phone and me just sitting there. It takes a second for her to hear me. "Oh! its been good just cleaned the house looked for jobs all the normal stuff!" "Mmm" I say 

"So none of your 'normal stuff' has anything to do with a certain boy?" I say checking my nails pretending to be distracted. "Uh n-no" she sputters. "Mmmm okay then" I check my watch its 7:30 "Oh shoot I have to go get ready!" I go to the bathroom and take a quick shower and untangle my mess of hair. And then I change into a red spaghetti strapped dress with white flowers all over it. Slip on some sandal wedges and head to do my makeup. I settle on a natural bronzy look with glowing skin. And I easily throw my hair into a messy bun.

Right at 8:00 Daniel knocks on the door "I got it amara!!" I call. I open the door to an amazingly hot guy that I cant believe is actually taking me on a date. He is wearing a button up shirt a pair of jeans and white tennis shoes. "Hey" he whispers "Hi" I whisper back. "You ready?" "yep!" we walk out to the parking lot shoulder to shoulder and he opens the passenger door for me and we get in his car. He turns on the radio and starts singing to the music. He has an amazing voice. I sing along with him.

We pull into a secluded parking lot off of a winding road. "Ummm daniel..." I say concerned "Where are you taking me?" "Hold on you'll see in just a second" he says as we step out of the car. Daniel leads me down a board walk and onto a beach but not just any beach the sand sparkles like multicolored crystals. I gasp in awe. the jeweled tone colors are coming from pieces of sea glass strewn about the beach. I've been to plenty of beaches but none like this and there are next to no people. "How did you find this place?" I ask as he leads me down the beach. "I just like to explore." He says simply. "Mmm okay..." We are coming up on a bend in the beach and daniel walks behind me and grabs my hips  "Close your eyes kal." he instructs me. I do as I'm told. We walk for a bit more him guiding me and then he tells me to open my eyes again. Set up before me is a blanket spread out on the sand with some pillows and a couple of snacks.

"Daniel this is amazing!" I say "I am glad you like it i figured we could eat some food watch the stars and the waves and just get to know each other better" "You are so freaking romantic" He blushes "Nah just got some advice from the romantic ones" He says bashfully. I sit down on the blanket and Dani sits next to me "This is perfect" I whisper. He laughs. We lay down next to each other and watch the stars for a long while. "So why'd you move here from Hawaii?" "My dad enlisted in the military when i was young so we got sent all over the place" I say "Well that's pretty cool where was your favorite place?" "Probably Germany I loved everything about it." I tell him more things about my travels and soon I'm just ranting  "And so when I went to Italy and I got to-" I stop short "Dani why are you staring at me like that??" I laugh. Hes laying on his side propped up on his hand just staring at me and smiling. "Daniiii" I complain

 All of the sudden he sits up and pulls me up with him. his lips are on mine. I am so surprised i sit there wide eyed for a second and then sink into the kiss. He kisses me soft and gentle but i want more so much more. I throw my leg over his lap and straddle him he grunts in surprise and starts kissing me harder my hands are in his hair and hes cupping my hips in his. he angles the kiss to go deeper sliding his tongue in my mouth. I bite his lip teasingly and he moans and pulls me sharply against him. He starts kissing my jaw and my neck biting and sucking at my sweet spot now I let out a sound of pleasure as he comes back to my mouth and kisses me one more time before breaking away. "Holy hell" he says. I laugh "Now I know why you were looking at me like that" I say breathless. He smirks. "You're gorgeous, I can say that now right?" He says smiling showing that beautiful tooth gap. "All you want Dani"
