10 | bestfriend

"Jaehyun!"

The latter flinched upon hearing his name being called, it echoed through the hallways, causing almost everyone to look at him. Jaehyun grinned nervously before going to the person who had called him.

"Hey Sicheng.." Jaehyun greeted, Sicheng smiled at him.

"It's been so long since we last saw each other, how many weeks has it been?"

Jaehyun rolled his eyes, "we met in the second day of school, Sicheng. But you're right, we haven't seen each other for quite some time," he muttered out, making Sicheng look at him sadly.

"We should hang out today, only the two of us," Sicheng stated, "we're bestfriends but we never even got the chance to talk about each other," he sadly mumbled, making Jaehyun frown.

"Don't be like that, Sicheng. We're still best friends even if we never talked to each other for weeks.."

Sicheng felt guilty, he was too focused on someone else that he forgot about Jaehyun. He never even got the chance to ask Jaehyun how he was, if his Dad was okay, if he needed help.

Sicheng frowned, "let's meet up in the usual café, okay? I feel guilty, I should treat you out tonight."

Jaehyun's eyes widened before shaking his head abruptly, "don't feel guilty, Sicheng. It's my fault as well. Don't treat me tonight, I'll pay for my own," Jaehyun quickly said, "that'll make me even more guilty," he added.

Sicheng looked at Jaehyun, as if he was asking if Jaehyun was sure with his decision. Jaehyun just nodded, he's Sicheng's bestfriend, he knows what's Sicheng doing.

Sicheng sighed before smiling at Jaehyun, "I missed you, I'll meet you tonight, okay?" He then hugged Jaehyun, and the latter hugged back.

They broke the hug upon hearing an unfamiliar voice calling beside Jaehyun, "Sicheng."

Sicheng's eyes widened as he stared at the boy beside Jaehyun, "Yuta.." he mumbled quietly, but Jaehyun can still hear it.

The guy, Yuta, looked at Jaehyun, passing by him and heading towards Sicheng.

Yuta looked around, as if checking if anyone was there to see them. That's when Jaehyun took notice that the hallways were empty.

Before Jaehyun could leave, Yuta gripped on his sleeve, stopping him from walking away.

Jaehyun raised a brow, and before he could even ask what was going on, Yuta beat him to it and spoke up.

"Keep this a secret, okay?" Yuta spoke quietly, Jaehyun looked at Sicheng with a questioning look. The boy just looked down.

"Why?" Jaehyun asked.

Yuta sighed before releasing his grip and looking at Sicheng, "let's just say, the world's against us."

Jaehyun stood there, confused. He looked at Yuta and Sicheng, who were talking quietly to each other as if Jaehyun wasn't even there.

He could make out a few words they were talking about, such as: do you think he would tell them, or, what if they find out?

Jaehyun looked at the two once more before walking away, he shouldn't be snooping around other's problems. It would make him a part of it.

But a side of Jaehyun wanted to find out what was going on with the two, were they keeping something from others? What did Yuta mean by the world's against us?

"Jae?" Jaehyun smiled upon seeing Taeyong. The older wore a plain white shirt, black skinny jeans, and some converse.

"Where's your bunny friend?" Jaehyun asked, making Taeyong laugh.

"Off with his Moon, I think he's starting to ditch me because of that guy," Taeyong replied with a smile on his face.

And Jaehyun swears, his heart beat increased upon seeing his face so happy.
