I never knew what lightning felt like
but when I was younger I always wondered
if it was like a million pins and needles
or like a cold hard hug from death

felt like lightning on my bare skin
as you voice sounded like thunder
to scare me to think everything was ok
and no matter how hard it rained my tears
no flood could save me
because you just weren't undressing me with your eyes anymore
You stripped me raw
until I was nothing more
like ripping the stars from the sky and leaving darkness
I tried to whisper no
but the claps of thunder
and flashes of lightning
I mean your camera scared me to silence
like in deep space.....
All I wanted to say was no.
my answer was no.
but your lightning fingertips
told me the answer to me childhood question.
Lightning had nothing to the touch,
of your hands roaming my skin without my permission
and like I did when I was younger
I'll close my eyes
and pray it quickly passes by
