How Really My Life was (Giyu x Shinobu)

Chapter One: Who I am

Giyu Tomioka. The man who saved Tanjiro and Nezuko from Kocho Shinobu who almost kills his younger sister. Giyu did it on purpose because he saw on Tanjiro that he is really determined to bring her sister back as a human. Giyu also saw on Tanjiro the same skill of being a swordsman and has the kindness of heart like what his fellow comrade Sabito before. This made him decide to let Nezuko live and let Tanjiro find a way to bring Nezuko back into a human.

Giyu does write every happening on his mission or day on his journal. He made a journal for Sabito that even he is dead, he still writes like Sabito is about to read it when the time has come. He also made a journal for Shinobu not because he likes her, but to express what he feels when he is with her through journal. Giyu also believed that through his journal writing, he can express his feelings well and believe that he doesn't need to talk or shout just to express everything he has in his heart.

After saving Tanjiro from Rui and from Shinobu, Giyu wrote on his journal to Sabito about what really happened for tonight and what made him decide to protect the kid who has a demon on him.

Sabito,
Me and Tanjiro crossed paths once again. I never thought that I'm gonna see him once again but as a Demon Slayer and also a surviving swordsman after encountering the Lower Five of the Twelve Kizuki. Shinobu tried to kill Nezuko with her deadly attacks but I defended them. She may be threatening to kill me after defending Tanjiro and Nezuko but I don't care. I want to rest like you as well but I can't. I need to guide this kid towards the success of his mission to bring her sister back into human and then, I can rest.

After writing it on his journal, Giyu kept his journal on his bookshelf and took a glance in the moon thought the rooftop of his home. He breathed quietly and embraced the cold breeze of the air in the night. He then suddenly felt a prescene behind him that is same as the one who almost killed him. It is none other than Kocho Shinobu.

"The moon is lovely isn't it?" Shinobu asked.

"What do you want, Kocho?" Giyu asked.

"Let me ask you, Tomioka san. Why of all people, you protected that kid with a demon accompanying him? Don't you think Oyakata sama will let this pass?" Shinobu asked.

Giyu didn't react to her words as Shinobu starts to poke him in the shoulder to make him talk.

"Come on, Tomioka san. Please answer my question. I wanted to know why you really want to protect that boy even if he has a demon with him?" Shinobu said.

"Tomorrow is his trial together with the other Hashiras. If the demon he brought with him makes anything stupid, I'm sorry but we are going to eliminate it with your own eyes. And if you try to protect it, we are going to disable you as well." Shinobu added but Giyu just ignored her.

Shinobu started to be angry like her face is about to create an angry expression towards Giyu's dull personality. But she still maintained that smile of her to show to him that she isn't affected of Giyu's personality.

"That's why no one likes you, Tomioka san. Honestly, I don't like you as well but, Oyakata sama wants us to be together. So please, would you answer my question for the last time once again? You can trust me if I were you?" Shinobu asked once again and the same result happened once again. No response for Giyu that time.

"That's it! Well good night then, Tomioka san. And remember, everyone hates you!" Shinobu ended as she disappeared in front of Giyu.
