Mark and Chenle entered the lunch room with slumped shoulders.

"Hey guys," Donghyuck greeted as they sat down, "Where's Jaemin?"

"At the nurse. He got knocked out by a basketball during gym."

"Geez, how'd he manage to knock himself out? I mean, I knew he was an idiot but I didn't know he was that stupid."

"It wasn't his fault," Mark quickly intervened, "It was those Bitters, they intentionally made him fall and hit his head on the basketball cart."

Donghyuck was now concerned, "Why would they do that? They barely know him."

"I don't know. One of them even volunteered to take him to the nurse."

"Who?"

"I think his name is Jeno?"

"Ohh, right! Jeno is Jisung's friend. He doesn't hang out with the other Bitters that much, doesn't like them." Chenle spoke up.

Donghyuck leaned forward in his seat. "And Jeno was the one who took Jaemin to the nurse?" He asked.

"Yeah?"

"Well I guess we now know who Jaemin's secret crush is." Donghyuck wiggled his eyebrows and sipped his tea. Mark and Chenle looked at each other with shocked faces.

"Bye guys! See you later!" Chenle waved goodbye. While all the other students went to their next class, Chenle walked into the library where he hid his backpack on top of a tall bookshelf. He worked in the library after school so the librarians were okay with him using their spaces to store his stuff.

Chenle stretched his whole body and stood on tiptoe to reach his backpack but it was just to high. He used a step stool to get it up there but he couldn't find the step stool now. The students behind him snickered at him. Chenle felt tears prick in his eyes and he was about to give up when a long slim arm appeared over his head and grabbed his backpack.

"Here you go." Chenle turned around and was met with his Bitter partner offering his backpack to him.

"Thanks." Chenle took the backpack and slung it over his shoulders. He looked down from Jisung and started fiddling with the straps of his bag.

Jisung smiled at Chenle's cuteness, unfortunately Chenle had been looking down and didn't see it.

"Actually you're the one I should be thanking." Jisung said, making Chenle look up at him.

"You're pretty cool for a Sweet. I know I'm kinda mean to you but I couldn't have made it at Lizard high without you."

Chenle's heart started doing jumping jacks. He didn't trust his voice at the moment so he just nodded at Jisung.

"So I'll see you around then?"

"See you." Chenle blushed deeply making Jisung smile again, this time Chenle did get to see it. Jisung turned and walked to his next class, leaving Chenle alone in the library. He was still stunned by what just happened.

"Yes!" He finally squealed, jumping up and pumping his fists in the air. He skipped off to class feeling like cloud 9 was his bitch.

"Ugh...." Jaemin groaned as he slowly regained consciousness. He opened his eyes and saw that he was lying down on a bed in the nurse's office. Jaemin reached up to his head, wincing when he pressed on his temple. He knew there would be a nasty bruise there.

But how did he get here?

Jaemin tried to sit up but gasped loudly and clutched his head. The world started spinning. He started breathing heavily until a pair of sturdy hands reached out to gently lie him back down on the bed.
