Leland grabbed End's hand, ignoring her surprise and his sudden blush. "Come on, we are going to Perseus and my sister."
End tilted her head. "It's been one day, Leland. Are you sure you strong enough to possess again? Especially two people?" Worry crossed her face. Leland tolled his eyes and closed them quickly. Darkness clouded his mind and he could feel it seep into Ends mind like little tendrils. She had a strong barrier but he easily found the chinks. Her hand tightened around his, gaining sweat. It was talking a little while, but soon he could feel him being pulled out of his body and into the feet on Jason. His world blurred into view and he blinked cautiously.
No one was with him, as he was sitting in a tree. His hands were a little sore from climbing up the tree, apparently. Leland found his hands holding a necklace that he often found Jason holding. He took it off and examined it.
"Shoot." The necklace turned into a long sharp sword with golden, extricate designs at the hilt. Leland snorted, turning it back into a necklace. He hopped out of the tree, sturdy landing on his feet and beginning to walk towards the strong aura of Perseus.
He transmitted to Ends mind. Where are you?
There was silence for a few moments until End responded, her voice clear and strong in his head. I think I'm in the love girl's body. I'm at camp.
Leland nodded, even though he knew that End couldn't see it. Oh, Piper McLean.
What's her power. There was a moment of silence. Can't shoot anything out of my hands. Woah- cool knife.
Leland rolled his eyes and ignored End's childishness. He approached camp and walked towards it. Suddenly a brilliant blue light flashed fiercely in his eyes and a force blew him backward onto the ground. He tried to tuck a roll, but Jason's body refused to do it. Leland simply collapsed on the ground. Angered, Leland rose to his feet, but then sank backward into Jason's mind, allowing more 'Jason' than Leland. Jason automatically sprinted back into the barrier, knowing that the outside was dangerous. Then, just as Jason realized Leland was still in his mind and opened his mouth to call out, Leland surged back, taking control again.
Someone is coming towards me. End whispered in his head.
Ignore them as if your mad at them. Let Piper sort the rest out once you're done.
End broke the connection, and Leland suddenly saw her. Katie Gardener was talking, absentmindedly, fingering a flower with her dirt-streaked hands.I'm behind you.
End turned around and nodded at Leland. She stood up and walked over to him. "Where are we going?"
Leland gestured to the large primordial cabin without saying a word. They walked up to it and as Leland went to knock on the new door, he felt a tap on his shoulder.
"Took you long enough." Perseus was standing behind them, his hands in his pockets. Claire was standing by him, though at a bit of a distance. She stayed silent, fixing her eyes on the two bows that were on Piper's-Ends' shoes.
"Okay. We need to go to Tartarus." Leland said.
Perseus nodded, his mouth going a little bit dry. He, out of all of them had the least experience with the place the demigods referred to as 'monsters spawn point'. He pictured fury red walls, harsh water churning, smashing against obsidian rocks and wailing voices filling his ears and taking away any thought. Darkness in the air like clouds of misery. Monsters fighting and chaos everywhere. Perseus swallowed down his hesitation and looked into Leland's eyes. "Let's go."
Leland grabbed Perseus and End grabbed Claire. Claire shot a disgusted look at End but didn't struggle. Leland used his mind to reach out to End and wrapped his will around it. In a few moments with a tugging on his gut, they were settled on the cold, hard ground of Tartarus. Perseus took a step back, trying to steady himself. He quickly straightened up and looked around. They were in a strangely vast area, where the smooth black floor was only disturbed by the river Lethe. Perseus stared at its misty white waters, it looked too angelic to be in Tartarus. It smoothly traveled without going over the borders and Perseus found himself taking a step towards it. A scream sounded from above, and Perseus's head snapped up. Above him was no more mysterious and entrancing than the Lethe. It was thick with black and red smoke and contained numerous echos, the freshest one the scream.
