Jane's P.O.V

It had been about an hour and we had found nothing in the lab. We searched both attack sites and nothing led us to our suspect. He really was, an invisible man or woman or what ever. "Uaaaggghhhh!!!! This is useless!!! We aren't gonna find anything!" Liv slumped down on the floor, crossing her arms. Sam sighed and tapped the floor with her foot, it sent a shock through the floor and shocked Liv who yelped and jumped up quickly. "Aye aye! Stop that!" Liv pouted. I chuckled and continued looking around the lab. Suddenly Lady Ellen came in with a concerned look on her face. "What's wrong Ellen?" Sam asks slightly worried. "I believe I might have found some evidence.... Well I haven't actually found the evidence but I know how to find it....." Lady Ellen replied worrily as she sat in her chair. "Oh awesome! What's the big deal?" Sam asked as she walked over and placed a hand on her adopted mother's shoulder. "Well.... I believe the evidence is footprints. That lead us to his location. But in order to find them you would have to use your x-ray ability to read the heat signature, maybe you guys can trace him." Ellen explained. "Wait, her x-ray ability takes up almost 50% of her elemental source...." I butted in. "Yeah, and last time she used more then 25% she collapsed like a clown with small feet!" Liv replied. We all let out a small chuckle, but Sam didn't look amused. "Look, if it's what we have to do to keep that guy from hurting others, then I'll do it." Sam said. Lady Ellen sighed and shook her head then mumbled to herself. "I knew she would say that...." Sam walked over to the door and clenched her fists. "When I begin to walk, you guys follow, we'll go after him." She said, straining her voice. "What about the guys?" Jane asked, slightly confused. "I have sent them on a different mission. This one is just you three." Lady Ellen replied. We all nodded and then we focused on Sam. Her eyes began to glow crystal blue, then she took off walking down the hall. We followed her out the door and down a path then into the woods. We walked for about 3 miles until we got to a clearing, and there was a huge warehouse. It was beginning to get dark and it was chilly. Sam's eyes were deep blue, and she almost fell over but caught herself. "Sam you've used enough, we can handle now." I said, putting my arm around her back. She nodded and closed her eyes. When she reoppened her eyes, they were her normal green and brown eyes. Except instead of caring, loving eyes. They were filled with sadness and pain, I could sense it. Just then I realized. "Sam you've walked about 3 miles with a wounded leg, you've got to be hurting!" I blurted out. Just then Liv's expression changed from blank to worried. "Holy cow I totally forgot!" She yelped as she grabbed Sam's arm. Sam smiled slightly but I could tell she was hurting. "No it's okay.... I'm fine." She replied, limping foreward. I rolled my eyes and sighed. "If your going to be stubborn at least let us help you walk...." I said, grabbing her arm and putting it around my neck. Liv came and did the same with the other arm, saying, "Yeah! I'm tired of seeing you waddle like a penguin!" Sam sighed and let out a laugh, then we began walking towards the warehouse. In my mind I was totally shocked. I thought, "Did Sam just laugh?"
