The next morning I woke up to an empty bed. I yawned and slowly walked down the stairs to the kitchen. There Levi (A/N: I'll still have Luna refer to Levi as "Levi" sometimes, ya know🙃) was making breakfast over the stove. "Good morning." He smiled a little. He seemed to be doing a lot better than last night.
"Good morning." I sat at the kitchen bar as Levi put a hot plate of eggs and toast in front of me.
"So Erwin called me this morning." Levi said. "He wants us, him and Hanji to go out to dinner tonight since it's been a while."
"Sounds good." I smiled.

Levi's POV
I softly hummed to myself as I swept the living room as Luna got ready for tonight. I guess you could say I was rather happy. It's... been a while since I've felt that.
I hadn't even realized it until last night, but ever since I've adopted Luna, I've been slowly healing from all the trauma in my past. Even now that she knows all I've done and all I've been through, she doesn't treat me any different. I guess a lot of it is due to us both having been through some pretty awful stuff. We can relate to each other easily and understand each other's feelings.
"Are you ready?" I asked as Luna came into sight.
"Yep... Dad." She smiled at me. I smiled too and we walked out to the car. We eventually made it to a local Mexican restaurant to meet the other two.
"Shorty!" The all-too-familiar voice yelled in front of everybody. Luna restrained me from throwing a cup of salsa at Hanji and calmly walked to the table.
"Hey, you guys." Erwin smiled. I nodded and picked up a menu.
"So here's what I was thinking." Hanji slammed her hands on the table. "We should have a huge New Years Eve party!"
"That's not for another month." Erwin said.
"That's why we need to start planning it now." She said and pointed to me. "At your house."
"Why my house?" I questioned.
"It's the biggest."
"Whatever." I said.
"Really?!" I shrugged.
"Luna?!" An unfamiliar voice said. There was a teenage girl maybe a few years younger than Luna. Actually, I think I saw her at the orphanage, too.
"Hey!" Luna jumped up and gave her a hug.
"You seem pretty happy today, Levi." Erwin said quietly, looking at his menu.
"Yeah, what's up with that?" Hanji asked as if it were a rarity. Can these idiots read my mind?
"Luna... called me Dad last night." I couldn't help a small smile slip onto my lips.
"That's so cute!" Hanji blushed.
"That's really great." Erwin smiled. Yeah... it really is.
