"Fine." Levi said quickly and stoically.
"Levi!" I tried to protest. He can't join them again! After all he's done to get away from that life, he can't just throw it all away.
"Shut up." William pressed the knife closer to my neck, drawing a little blood. You could tell that made Levi furious.
"I said fine! So stop hurting her!" Levi basically growled. Ben smirked and waved all the other gang members to back away from me. Still weak, I could only sit there while tears started coming to my eyes. No... we've both waited so long for this life...
"It's good to have you back, Levi." Ben put his hand on Levi's shoulder as Levi glared at him.
"As if-"
"In here!" I heard a familiar booming voice from above us. Suddenly the basement door was kicked down and police filed into the room, aiming guns at each gang member.
"Hey!" Ben yelled furiously and raised his gun, not sure where to point it with the multitude of officers in the room. An officer pointed a gun to his head as he took off his bullet-proof helmet.
"Erwin?" I whispered with a tiny gleam of hope in me.
"I'd suggest you back down." Erwin grumbled. Ben scowled and dropped his gun. One by one, the officers led the gang members out of the room and into the police cars waiting outside. Levi said his thanks you's to Erwin and the squad before slowly walking over to me. I sat still in shock at what had just happened as I thought all hope was lost.
Levi knelt down and tightly embraced me. I could feel tears on my shoulder as he cried in relief. I couldn't stop myself from doing the same. "I love you... I love you..." He cried.
"I love you, too." I relaxed for the first time in a while.
After everybody was escorted out, Levi took me to the hospital to make sure none of my injuries were too serious. We then went out to eat before heading home. I knew I'd have to go to court sometime in the near future, but I was just glad that I was back home with Levi.
"Goodnight, Dad." I managed to whisper with a small smile on my face as I finally closed my eyes to a good night's sleep.
