𝓛𝓞𝓢𝓣- 𝐊𝐚𝐢𝐫𝐢 𝐂𝐨𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐨☽♡

☽Part 1

It's warm out, with a nice breeze; birds flying around; children playing out in the neighborhood. Just a typical day in California. Recently life hasn't been the best for me. I mean, I lost two great friends and my parents just got divorced. Honestly, I'm happy they got divorced, now I can go a night without having to hear my parents argue. But the bad thing is that I'm moving across the country with my dad. I'm moving out to New Jersey. Which means I have to leave my friends behind... Well, the ones I have left. High School has been a real struggle. I'm just hoping that moving out to New Jersey will be a good idea. I mean I think it will, it can be like I'm starting over.

"Aria, are you done packing your backpack? We have to go. We can't miss our flight!"

My dad yells at me from outside.

I close my diary and put it in my backpack. I grab my phone and charger and toss them in the front pocket. I lean back against the wall and look around my empty room.

"can't believe this is goodbye," I whisper

I get up from the floor and walk towards the door, I look back into the room as I get flashback after flashback, from all the amazing memories I had in the past 15 years of my life. I take a deep breathe and close the door.

I make my way downstairs as I take in my last moments in my childhood home. I walk out the door and get into the car. My dad was walking around the backyard making sure that we didn't forget anything. My mom said that she's going to meet us at the airport so she can say goodbye. I grab my earbuds and take my phone out, I put on some music and turn the volume up. I lean my head against the window and just sat there. I finally saw my dad walk out of the house closing the door behind him.

"You ready for this?"

My dad looked back at me. I turned my volume down so I could hear him.

"huh? sorry I didn't hear you."

"You ready for this?" he said again

"Ready as I'll ever be" I responded

He turned on the car and just like that we were gone. As we were leaving the neighborhood I saw my ex Jacob and my ex-friend Taylor together. Holding hands and laughing. I just rolled my eyes and looked down at my phone.

-New Message-

Piper: "Hey love! Let me know when you're at the airport!"

Me:" Bet. Kinda happy I'm leaving."

Piper:" I bet you are"

Me:" Guess who I saw as I was driving out of the neigbohood"

Piper:" Who?"

Me:" Taylor and Jacob. They were together. Like they were holding hands and everything."

Piper:" Ew!"

Me: "Ik"

Piper:" Well imma blast so you can save your battery for the flight!"

Me: "ight, I'll text you when I'm about to board my flight."

I turn off my phone and turn my volume back up.

Piper is my best friend, she's been there for me since the beginning, she knows what I've been through. I love her to bits and it sucks leaving her behind but she knows that this is the best thing for me. Thank god for FaceTime. I closed my eyes and next thing I knew my dad was waking me up.

"Hey, we're here!"

I get out of the car and stretch. I unplug my earbuds and put them in my pocket. I went over and helped my dad with the suitcases. We made our way inside and checked in. As we were heading to security I spotted my mom. She walked up to us and gave me a hug.

"Hey," she said as she gave me a hug

"hi" I responded

"You ready for New Jersey?"

"yeah, bout ready to leave."

"don't forget to text me every day and also, don't forget to come to visit."

"I won't!"

She smiled at me and I smiled back. She walked towards my dad and they went tot he side and started talking. I pulled out my phone and texted my Piper. Letting her know that I'm at the airport. They both walked back.

"Alright it's time for me to head out, I can't be late to work."

My mom gave me a tight hug and a kiss on the cheek. She smiled at my dad and walked away. We made it through security and walked to the gate. I walked to Starbucks and got some coffee for both me and my dad. As I walked over to my dad I asked him about our car.

"Hey dad, ummm what's going to happen with our car?"

"Oh you're uncle Matt said that he was going to drive it over since he's always wanted to drive across the country haha"

"Oh. okay. but why didn't we just drive it?"

"Your uncle volunteered and so I thought that it would save us the trouble."

We boarded our flight and I took a fat nap. After a while we landed in New Jersey we grabbed our suitcases and walked outside and waited for our uber. I texted Piper to let her know that we landed and that I'm now in New Jersey.

-New Message-

Me: " I just landed."

Piper: " Yay! btw keep an eye out I heard that New Jersey is the state where all the cuties live! ;) "

Me: "Bet. I'm finna get a New Jersey guy!"

Piper: "hey! don't take them all I want one ahaha"

Me: " Wish you were here. You better visit soon I mean summer just started! you can help me unpack!"

Piper: " I'll ask my mom but I think I can"

Me: "yay!"

Piper: " <3 "

- read-

The uber finally arrived and I helped my dad with the suitcases. As we were driving to our new house I looked outside the window. It looks really pretty, and not how I expected it to be. e got to our house and it was bigger than our old one. Our neighborhood seemed nice, I could already tell that I'm going to love it here.

I walked up to my bed and placed my stuff down. Since it was late I grabbed some blankets and laid them on the floor. I walked out and told my dad that I was going to bed. I kissed him goodnight and made my way upstairs. I closed and locked my bedroom door. I just stood there and smiled. I walked over to where I set up my blankets and laided down I sent streaks and plugged in my phone. I laid there looking at the wall until I finally fell asleep.
