I smiled and put the things back into the bag. I walked over to my desk and but down the bag, I grab my facemask and put it on. I put my hair back into a messy bun, and facetime piper.

Piper: "Hey! I haven't heard from you in a while what's up?"

Me: "Well I think I caught feelings for Kairi and I'm not sure what to do. And umm- Jacob called me. Twice"

Piper: "What do you mean?"

Me: "He called me when I first got here and then he called me the day I was hanging out with the boys."

Piper: "Aww baby! I'm sorry. You didn't answer right?"

Me: "No... I went into Kairi's bathroom and cried and they all heard me so I had Kairi drive me home. I haven't gone out all day until just now. Kairi stopped by my house and took me to New York and we had a picnic."

Piper: "Block his number! That's so cute! Kairi sounds like a nice dude."

Me: "I will. And he is. He's so nice and cute. He has a cute smile and laugh"

Piper: "Sounds like a keeper"

Me: "Yeah, but he just broke up with his girlfriend not too long ago so.."

Piper: "Ohh-"

Me: "Yeah plus I feel like I'm stuck in the friendzone as of right now"

Piper: "Mmm I don't think so."

Me: "What do you mean."

Piper: "I mean he took out to New York and on a picnic."

Me: "Okay and? that doesn't mean anything he was probably just being nice."

Piper: "I wouldn't be surprised if he got you a gift or something."

Me: "How did you- he in fact did bring me a little gift. It had some candy, earrings and a necklace."

Piper: "Damn. Looks like someone isn't in the friend zone"

Me: "Piper I'm sure that doesn't mean anything. Plus he's like super hot and I'm not"

Piper: "Just be quiet I'm sure it has to mean something. I mean he keeps asking about your life, he's inviting you over to hang out, he took you out on a date."

Me: "It wasn't a date. At least I don't think it was."

Piper: "Oh Aria."

Me: "So... do you know when you're going to come to visit me?"

Piper: "Um yeah next week I think."

Me: "Yay!"

Piper: "I have to go eat dinner I'll talk to you later. And keep me updated on your boyfriend!"

Me: "He's not my-"

She hung up

I got up and took off my face mask. I brushed my teeth and walked downstairs. I grabbed my hydro flask and filled it up with water and walked back upstairs. I grabbed my book and started reading but I couldn't even read one page since I just sat and wondered if Kairi felt the same way back.

Was Piper right? Or am I just making up and illusion in my head. I'm not pretty enough. he deserves someone better than me. Why am I even saying this? It'snot like we're dating. It's not like we have a thing. I just met him. We're just friends. And it's going to stay that way.

I then got a text message

Kairi: "Hey! I was wondering if you were free tomorrow? I wanted to go to the mall and hang out."
