CHAPTER 5

You know that period when you think all is going well, you're happy and then one thing just happens and destroy it all. It happened guys on one dreadful night.

Friday night
Caleb and I were sitting on my bed. I was reading and he was doing whatever on his phone

"Caleb, I'm bored"

"Me too, sis"

"So.. What can we do?"

" Uhmmmm sleep?"
"I don't want to sleep" I scoffed "besides it's just noon"

"So what do you want to do?"
"I don't know. Can I ask you something?" He raised an eyebrow. How does he do that perfectly?
"OK so do you like Vicky?" I wiggled my eyebrows at him. At least I can do that
He turned red immediately. I smiled. "So do you? If you do, she might actually like you  back"
His eyes lit up immediately "really? She does? How come? Why? When? How don't I know?"
Woah slow down tiger. I'm going to so frustrate this idiot
"She didn't tell me  anything, she just said she had a crush on an older guy... Really old... Between you and I, she told me she has a fetish for older guys"
Way to go Megan. Now he's really disappointed
"Oh really. For a moment I thought....."
I burst out laughing
"Dude do you really not know she likes you? I mean she's....."
Immediately we heard a loud bang. Did someone fall.. We both looked at each other and ran to the direction of the sound which was the garage by the way. Is that mom on the floor?
"Mom.. Mom Mom..." Both I and Caleb cried
Somebody.. Anyone.. Help her ... Call 911. Caleb ran to get a phone to call an ambulance at exactly the same time dad ran in.
"Dad, she's not waking.. Please wake her up. She's not breathing dad. Please" I screamed. He tried to drag me away from her but I pushed him and clung to her. I don't want to lose her. She can't go. I still need her. What's going to happen now. So many jumbled thoughts came to my brain.
I began to hear sirens.  Thank God.. Are people talking? I began to see blurry images. I could feel dad and Caleb tried to pull me away from her. No... Noooo... No.. Then I felt nothing. I was numb. I couldn't breath.. Does the world still exist? Am I still breathing? The world began to spin round and round into nothing. Then I felt bliss.
I woke up on a white bed feeling relieved. So it was actually a dream. I turned and saw Caleb sitting down looking moody
" I just had this crazy dream abostaut mom fainted and she wasn't breathing. I was so scared. Thank God it was just a dream. Where's mom and dad?" That was when I realised that I was not in my room but on an hospital bed. He just starred at me with teary eyes. Could it be true? Nah! It can't be
"Why are you not talking?" I was beginning to get really scared
"Uhmm megan you have to calm down. You fainted.. And mom is still not moving. It wasn't a dream. We are waiting for the doctor's report now" My nightmare was actually a reality.
"I want to see her"
"Now? But you just woke up"
" I just want to see her"
