A/N: Thank you for taking time to read this story!

Past

She was aware that she had reached a point of no return.

That night, she had forgone all thoughts and let her heart dictate her actions.  She felt relieved that she didn't have to continue resisting the feelings she was having for him any longer.  Time and time again, he had told her that he loved her, and time and time again, she rejected him by refusing to acknowledge her own affection towards him.

But after the kiss that they shared and the intimacy that they felt for each other, she finally admitted that she desired him as much as he did.

There was no thought of past or future. They stayed in the moment. Maybe this was her absolution. Maybe all she needed to do was fall in love with him this time. Without any restraints, without any inhibitions, without any doubts. Maybe this was the chance that she was given. Maybe this was the reason why she came back.

So she decided to stop resisting and give in, to take a chance and to fall in love.

"Leni, kailan ba kita pwedeng makita ulit?" he asked when they reached her aunt's house after finding there way back. Dawn was approaching and she didn't want to be caught by her aunt or her cousin.

Their night had come to an end and already, he was starting to miss her.

"Nagtatanong ka na kaagad, eh, hindi pa nga ako nagpapaalam sayo," she told him with a smile on her lips.

"Baka kasi magbago ang isip mo," he said, worry etched in his eyes. "Baka kasi, nananaginip lang ako. Baka bukas ipagtabuyan mo nanaman ako."

She shook her head.

"Hindi 'yun mangyayari," she reassured him, resting a palm on his cheek. "Nakapag-desisyon na ako. 'Wag kang mag-alala."

He smiled with a satisfied grin on his face.

"Kaya lang..." she began telling him, and the smile on his lips fell. "Ayoko munang may ibang makaka-alam. Lalung-lalo na si Elizabeth. Ayoko kasing masaktan siya. Pwede bang...isekreto muna natin 'to?"

Rodrigo shifted uncomfortably. "Baka mas lalo siyang masaktan kung papatagalin pa natin 'to," he reasoned out.

"Gusto ko kasing ako ang mag-sabi sa kanya," she told him in earnest, her hand fell to the side to hold his hand. "Please." She wanted to tell her when she was ready, now was not the perfect time yet. Later. She will have to tell her later. But not now. No.

He didn't like the idea, but since he didn't want to lose her, he decided to nod in agreement.  He was not in a position to convince her otherwise.

"Sige...pero sabihin mo agad sa kanya, ha?" he told her.

"Oo, sasabihin ko sa kanya," she promised.

He then bid goodbye after he kissed her forehead. He stood standing on the spot where she left him and watched her go inside the house before he went home.

Days passed by and still Leni did not have the courage to tell Elizabeth about the status of her relationship with Rodrigo.

Her "cousin" had been so gracious to her ever since and the thought of breaking her heart and telling her the truth planted a seed of fear in her heart.

She just couldn't tell her no matter how many times she tried.

"Elizabeth paano kung may ibang babae na pala si Rodrigo?" she remembered asking her cousin one time.

Both of them were in the living room since the weather was too hot to stay inside their room.

Elizabeth stopped sewing and looked at Leni. "Bakit? May nabanggit ba siya sa 'yo?"
