Take it back

"Elli, come on. We have to start the make-up right now" One of the make-up artist said to the almost dressed girl that is somehow unresponsive at the moment.

"Elli?" a commanding voice suddenly enter the room.

"Mom" Elli - the girl who's being work-on reply.

"You have to get ready now, dear" She said in a warm caring manner but it still has a hidden commanding tone in it.

"Right" She muttered as she robotically walks towards the table full of cosmetics waiting to be used.

"Go on, we don't have a whole day" Another command.

Just as the make-up artists started to do their job, Elli can't help but zone out - being uninterested to what's currently happening with her face and hair.

*FLASHBACK*

"Come on Elli! The water's not that cold!" a man's voice shouted as he situated himself in the beach waters.

"Clearly your sense of feeling is in need of major fixing! How can you say it's not that cold when the wind sure is" A girl's voice retorted to the guy who's waiting for her to join him in the waters.

"You're just being a drama queen" The guy joked as he slowly walked towards the girl.

"Am not!" the girl pouted.

And with that the game of chase begun.

"No you are not going to!" the giggling girl shouted to the man who is now carrying her towards the waters.

They continue to banter and laugh as if they dont care how the world sees them at the moment.

"NO!" a loud shriek from the girl echoed as she was submerged into the waters.

If you were a passer-by that day, you will clearly see that those two love each other dearly. You'd be able to see joy and happiness that's surrounding them like a bubble.

It's the kind of happiness that is contagious. The kind, that will make you smile unknowingly.

*END OF FLASHBACK*

"Here let me just help her with that" A familiar voice said that made Elli snap out of her daydream.

Is it done already? Elli can't help but question herself as she blink herself out of the dream and look at her best friend who is now looking at her with kind eyes.

"Are you sure about this Elli?" Mary - her bestfriend's name - asks.

"Of course" She replied not letting her nervousness show.

"Okay then" Her best friend whisper.

"I'm okay Mary." Elli whispers at Mary trying to both reassure her and herself.

"I'm not trying to say otherwise" Mary whisper back with an empathic smile.

"Good" Elli exhaled slowly. "Let's get this done then" She added as she look at the beautiful white gown in front of her.

*FLASHBACK*

"Are you sure you can do it?" You can hear the teasing tone in the girl's voice.

"Do you trust me?" the guy beside her ask sincerly.

"Of course I do. But you know..." She grinned at him, while the guy just rolled his eyes at the girl's childish antics.

"Do you want me to win the penguin or not?" the guy asked the girl-who is at the moments time trying to distract him from the game.
