3. This is the End

THIS IS THE THIRD CHAPTER.. THE SECOND ONE: "Explaination" (if it still doesnt appear in here.. oh so help me salazar) has been uploaded..

"Matt" Elli whisper as she saw the man she was excited to see but at the same time she also dread because of the Guilt that's eating her inside.

She knows he doesn't know, given that he just came back from his three months Military service post.

"Elli" Mat excitedly hug her tightly with a bright smile.

"Crown prince Matt." Elli formally introduce herself.

"A bit late for that" Mat smirked.

"Im sorry" Elli answers back fidgeting.

"Why are you asking for forgiveness?" Mat asked confused knowing its not in Elli's nature to ask for forgiveness for something as petty as title calling.

"I'm really really sorry." Elli tried to say without crying.  But the guilt is eating her inside. She could gave fought harder. She could have run away. But she was - IS a coward. Besides what underlies in that deal was far more deeper than to what the others can see.

"Shhh... shhh... we're both alright, Elli" Mat hugged her as she continues her cries of forgiveness. He tried to caress her hair because he knows from experience that it calms her.

"I tried.. I really did" Elli reason out.

"Shhh...." Mat sooths her. But he saw something.. Something that does explain why Elli is now crying and is unconsoliable.

"Elli" he gravely whisper.

"I tried.. I tried.. I should have fought harder.. I'm sorry"

"Shhh.. tell me.." Mat gravely whisper as he continues to look at the ring that was supposed to be from him. The ring that he dreamed to put on Elli's hand..

*FLASHBACK*

"Elizabeth" Elli's mom greeted her as she enter the Manor. The night has been great. Mat decided it was the perfect time to propose and it was just plain perfect for her. What else can she ask for? Mat is perfect enough.

"Yes mother?" Elli asks her Mom as she situate herself towards the couch still smiling.

"What got you so happy tonight?" Her mom asks rising her eyebrow.

"Nothing. Just good news" Elli lied, knowing both her and Mat's mom don't approve of their relationship.

"And what is this good news?" Her mom is now fully curious, knowing her daughter. It has something to do with that bloody crown prince. She knows, her daughter knows that both her and Emily - Matt's mom- don't approve of their 'predicament'. There are so many other noble man out there. Why does it have to be the Scots?

Don't get her wrong. There's so much advantage if Elli does marries the crown prince, it's just that there was this bad blood between the two.

How could she ever forget that certain event that put a tarnish in their clean image. How could she ever forget the embarrassment she felt at that day? If that boy just shut his mouth during that particular time.

"Oh, I'm sure you've heard about it by now mother. It's about uncle Liam's and Aunt Sarah's heir."

"ah.. Yes.. Yes.. Indeed.. Such a disgrace" her mom shook her head. How could it be a good news to Elli when it isn't, she'd never know.

"Not really" Elli muttered. Accidents do happen every now and then. Elliott can't control whatever will happen in the future now can he? Well he can, but he choose to do so. And now he's owning up to it.
