It was Tuesday, a day after the somewhat fight with Markhyuck, specifically haechan. And regardless of her own problem, upon her word, Valerie did her job as a personal matchmaker. Flawlessly.

After waiting for chenle to arrive, beside her Vantablack sports car, they both got in and drove towards a hair salon.

Now Chenle was seated in front of a mirror, a smug looking Valerie on his left side and a hair stylist on the other.

"You're seriously gonna make me do this?"

Valerie scoffs. "Hell yeah, I am. You'll look totally different, in a good way. And not just that, you'll have them swooning in no time. Trust me" She assured, checking her nails. The younger boy was still hesitant.

Chenle fiddles with his fingers, a habit out of nervousness. "But, I've never dyed my hair a bright color, let alone a strong one. I might end up looking weird"

"There's always room for a first time, Lele. And trust me, you won't look weird, you'll look hot"

Chenle chews on his bottom lip for a moment, before sighing dramatically. "Fine, only because you're an expert and I trust you. But! You have to tell me the whole plan and the reason why the hell am I dying my hair" the older girl smirked, before motioning for the stylist to do her thing.

"Deal" She exclaims, victorious. "But before that, I have to ask you a few questions regarding our first task of Operation: ChenKyoSung"

"Um, okay?"Chenle answers, uncertain, wincing at the strong hold on his hair.

Valerie takes out a disheveled looking notepad from her pocket, clearing her throat. "Did you follow what I told you last week?"

"Yeah, I've been making all kinds of excuses. Basketball practice, quizzes, homework, projects, mom called brb, and sometimes just disappearing out of nowhere. But of course I still hang out with them, to not make it obvious"

The Mama bird beams. "Well done, lele! You did an excellent job for the first step. I didn't expect that. And, you just saved me a whole week of replanning. Most of my past clients usually mess up step 1, and you're the first one who passed"

Chenle merely breathes out in relief, closing his eyes at the hot hairdryer coming into contact with his head.

"Okay, next question. How long and when do you hang out with them in a day?"

"Well, I don't hang out with them as much since the whole fiasco. We go to school together everyday, the usual. And since we have most of the same classes, I make an excuse that I can't see clearly to sit upfront without them suspecting anything. After that, we eat all together with you guys, and the day goes on. By dismissal, where we usually hang out wherever and whenever, I make up random excuses to go home early and that they could go ahead without me. So yeah, that's basically it. Oh, and I've been doing this for a whole week by the way"

The ravenette hums in thought, rubbing her chin suspiciously. "Seems to me that one of the two are just as clever and is starting to get suspicious"

Chenle sighs. "Yeah, you're actually right. Kyokyo's usually the smarter one of the three of us. So I'm kinda nervous about her, since y'know how she is, smarter than you think"

"I get that a lot" Mutters Valerie, a hint of distress in her tone. But immediately shifts into a reassuring one. "And don't worry, I've been prepared"
