There was no reason for Sirius Black and Desmond Crouch to communicate, no reason what so ever.
Sure they were the black sheep of their families seeing as both their families having been Slytherin's for the longest time while Sirius and Desmond were sorted into Gryffindor and Hufflefuff respectively but they had been so for the past 5 years.
So one could only wonder why on September 1st, 1976 the two black sheep were seen stepping away from the Hogwarts Express's men's bathroom with dishevelled looks and swollen lips.
