After the two had their breakfast, they walked back up to their hotel rooms, Harry offered Louis to come into his, but Louis told him he needed some time to himself to think. He was aware of their situation and that clearly Simon wants them to become closer, but Louis was still scared, he was scared of what the outcome of this would be, all his life he's been hiding behind closed doors, being someone who he really isn't and now he has the opportunity to be that guy he wants to be. But he's scared.
Louis is sitting on the couch in the small living space in his suite, staring blankly at the TV screen that was playing some random cooking show, his mind racing with the thought about what to do, how to act, what to say, and how to say it. It was all so much stress for him; of course, he wanted to be with Harry, it's just been so long and he isn't sure he can do this so quickly yet.
He sits up and buried his head in his hands, letting out a long sigh before unlocking his phone to dial Liam's number.
"..Hello?"
"Liam, mate... listen...I talked to Harry this morning..." he said in almost a whisper.
"That's good...how did it go?"
Louis bit on his bottom lip, he pressed his fingers to the bridge of his nose, "Alright, I guess. Listen, I don't know if I can do this... I know I should be talking to Harry about this but...But I can't. He's clearly ready for anything but I'm still...I'm still how I was before.." he admitted.
There was silence on the phone for a few seconds before Liam spoke up, "...I know, but you have to do this. I know the last couple of years have been hard, but giving up now is pointless. Harry loves you, mate...we all do, he cares for you and even if you don't want to go back to the way things were, that's fine. But you two really need to talk it out and find a way to just at least become friends...".
Friends.
But Liam was right...once again. Louis shook his head, "I know...I know, it's just not easy..." He let out a sigh, biting down on his bottom lip, "just wish this was easier to do..."
