Everyone was lounging around in the living room/kitchen.
It was so quiet in the room that you could hear a pin drop.
They were given the day off to bond as a team. Ever since the failed training simulation, the team dynamics were thrown off.
Everyone blamed themselves one way or another.

Artemis blamed herself for dying. Like, how could she have helped that?

Kaldur blamed himself for failing as a leader.

M'gann thought that if she hadn't have latched on to Artemis' death like she did. Then maybe the simulation wouldn't have gone so wrong.

Superboy was just angry at himself for not being able to help M'gann and for not noticing sooner.

Wally thought that if he had just gone faster then maybe Artemis wouldn't have died.

Robin thought he led everyone to their death. Used them all as pawns in some game. His friends.. His family. And he personally feels like everyone agreed.

Wally glanced around the room, eyes landing on Robin for a bit before sighing really loud. "I'm bored~!" He yelled in a sing-song voice.

"What do you want us to do about it Baywatch?" Growled Artemis from beside Kaldur.

Wally goes to open his mouth before shutting it. Only seconds later to let out a gasp. Everyone turns to look at him who's eyes were still on Artemis.

M'gann's concerned voice floated through the silence, "Wally are you ok?"
All Wally did was point at Artemis and Kaldur's arms.

Everyone followed including Artemis and Kaldur who gasped simultaneously.
The spot on their arms that used to be painted black had burst in multiple vibrant colors. Raging from the green of Artemis suit to the blue of the ocean.

"You guys are soulmates!" Squealed M'gann in delight. Floating up above everyone before exclaiming. "That's so cute! Oh, this deserves a celebration! Why don't we go out?" At the prospect, nobody answered.

"I think they would like some alone time," Conner suggested, pointing at the two flushed teens on the loveseat. Who was awkwardly fidgeting and purposely avoiding each others' gaze.

"I think that'd be best. Come on guys we'll be waiting in the hangar. I agree with M'gann we should go out. Or if you guys like we could go and you two could stay here. To.. Get to know each other better?" Smirked Robin, Wally howling like a hyena in the background.

"Wait for us. We'll be there in a minute." Growled Artemis waving her hand dismissively. Almost like she was trying to dismiss what Robin had just suggested.

Everyone got up, but the two new soulmates, and headed toward the hangar.
"So where to? It better be somewhere with food," beamed Wally turning to Robin with a smile that could light up the night.

Robin shook his head to get the thought out of his head. Turning to Wally he explained, "how about we let M'gann choose since it was her idea?"

"How about the mall? We need to buy Conner some new shirts."
Everyone turned with a confused look, Conner flushing under their gazes which caused more staring.

"Stop staring."

They instantly looked away, Wally whistling a little tune nonchalantly. Robin instantly picked up on what song and started humming along.
The whistling and humming soon turned into soft singing, before Wally belted out the chorus. Very badly.
