Chapter 6

Yesterday night was a complete blur, all I remember that day was realizing that I am a mermaid. I wasn't over the fact that I was a mermaid. I was about to get out of my bed when Hermione stopped me.

"You're having a day off school, Dumbledore's orders"   She informs me. I groan in response.

"Also, Ariana was worried about you and so will your parents, Ariana sent them a letter." Hermione continues. "And so was Harry. I think he likes you Vera."

"Yes! And we'll be the cutest couple in Hogwarts" I said sarcastically.

"Come on! just go out with him!" Hermione said.

"No Hermione." I said tiredly "Besides my mother will never accept me going out with a Potter anyway"

"I got to go and get some food, want anything?" Hermione sighed

"I'm fine. Thanks, Hermione, really" I say

"Anytime."

I sat at my window looking at the ocean, then suddenly I had an idea I get changed into leggings and a black hoodie and run down to the water. I look at the water, then my feet then my necklace.

"Okay, I got this," I say stepping a few backs then run into the water at full speed. I hold my breath for 3 seconds then I start to breathe underwater. Then I start swimming around the ocean really fast. I start doing flips in and from the water. I giggle at how amazing this is, this is who I am now.

I get back from swimming only now realizing it was late at night I sneak back into the Gryffindor Common Room only just seeing Harry talk to a fire?

"Harry, I don't have time but did you put your name in the Goblet of fire?" the Fire asked. Harry put his name in the Goblet, he can't do that, right?

"No!" Harry whisper-yelled.

"I had to ask," The Fire said."Now tell me about this dream of yours. You mentioned Wormtail and You-Know-Who, but who was the third man" What on earth was he talking about? I thought

"I-I don't know" Harry answered

"You didn't hear a name?"

"No, um, Voldemort was giving him a job to do. "stated Harry "Something important"

"What was that?" inquired the fire.

"He- He wanted me." declares Harry" He wanted this man to get me." I cover my mouth as  I felt my blood boiling all around me.

"If it's not just a dream" states the fire "them the death eaters will hear your name rise from the Gold Cup and hunt you down, which makes Hogwarts not safe anymore." sending chills down my spine. The Fire also says that Victor Krum's headmaster is also a death eater and maybe he out Harry's name inside the Goblet, then suddenly I drop something on the floor causing Harry to turn around and see me.

I saw him I look at him dead in the eye but he didn't see me then I look in the mirror on the right. I revealed to my self that I was invisible! Maybe this is one of these mermaid powers I have.. I thought

Then another sound happened then I look at the fire and the face was gone. I look around and saw Ron in is sleepwear looking tired as ever.

"Who were you talking to?" Ron asked

"What I wasn't talking to anyone," Harry says.

"I heard voices, were you talking to Vera?" Ron asked looking at me. Harry turned around eyes widened as he saw me standing.

"Yeah, I was," Harry said as he quickly walked next to me."She was telling me about her family and old school, right Vera?"

"Yeah!" I say, this gets me out of trouble with Harry I guess.

"You sure? A bit late to be talking to people Harry and anyway, I heard male voices" Ron asked.

"Maybe you're imagining things." Harry said, "Wouldn't be the first time." That last line left me confused but I ignored it, a little anyway.

"You're probably practicing for your interview," Ron said then he looked at me "Oh yeah Vera if you're wondering Harry put his name in the Goblet of Fire and now his an '' Champion'' ."

"No! I didn't ok." Harry declares "Someone put their name in it, Vera please you have to believe me." I look into his eyes, then I hug him knowing what he was talking about just a few minutes ago.

"I believe you Harry," I say still hug him as he hugs me back.

"Thanks, Vera," Harry says.
