Dragon Riders

Part 4

She breath out as her eyes took on the sight of the doorway leading to the nursery. The wooden door towered them slightly, silver metal embroidered the door and a large wooden sign on top of the door. The word 'HATCHERY' was clearly carved unto the wood. Her pulse quickened with excitement at the thought of finally seeing her dragon.

She looked at her side where Trizna and Dwade was chatting nervously. She smiled and grip at the end of her t shirt. Hands clamming with sweat.

"Good morning Everyone!! Before we start. Let me explain what will happen when you enter. Once you go into the nursery. Just follow whatever the feeling you will feel and it will lead it to your dragon.After that, you are to be escorted with your egg and will go to the heating room. Please, be delicate for the room is filled with eggs. That is all and you may now proceed"

She grinned as she and the rest of the group one by one entered the room. The group contained 8 person each so that it's not cramp when you go inside. She gasp with awe when she saw numerous eggs shells differ in many hues.

She saw the others starting to look around when suddenly she felt something ghost in her mind

F-fri..... e-en..d

Like static, the anonymous voice whispered within her head. Head whipped from side to side she tried to find who or what said that. She felt a pull towards something in the nursery and she took a step forward until she was standing on the far corner of the room.

The feeling was getting stronger when she went closer to 4 eggs side by side. Her eyes leading up to one egg. With shell the color of silvery white- glittering under the light that illuminated the whole room. She felt herself moving forward and with her hand-touched the smooth egg.

Electric feeling buzzed throughout her body and she gasped. She felt her whole being float with content and she felt something like a missing piece finally meeting and completing the absence in her heart.

The voice was more clearer then the once from earlier. A grin slowly formed on her face and her gold eyes unnoticingly flashed with color.

"M-my dragon... Y-you're my dragon" She whispered as she caress her egg with soft touches. She can feel warmth embracing her entirely as she sighed. Never have she felt this content and... Whole on her entire life.

She knelt down at the precious thing and touch it's cool surface with her forehead arms encircling the rather big egg.

It felt like hours passed by when it's actually mere seconds that has passed. She opened her eyes when she felt someone tap delicately on her shoulder. She turned back and saw a middle-age woman smilling warmly at her.

"Hello dearie. Sorry to interrupt you but we need to get your egg to the heating room for it to hatch" she softly said

"A-ah yes, of course. Lead the way ma'am.." She said trailing her words when she didn't know the name of the kind woman

"You can call me Lani" she smiled and then they went outside. Her egg resting comfortably on her arms.

She was surprise when her egg, as big it is its actually light. Weightless in fact on arms as they passed the hallway towards another big room. A plate with a name is plastered on the side of the door just like the nursery.
