Dragon Riders

Part 7

With an amused and almost manic glint on a pair of green eyes, the Man surveyed each one of his supposedly students as they were looking at him. They were looking at the man infront of them with something akin to anticipation and curiousity as they study the mysterious professor infront. With unusual  red almost maroon hair and mischievous green eyes, They felt something in this man that screamed 'Danger'.

Not wasting a second. The man opened his mouth to speak " Hmm, from what I can tell. My first impression is....." unknowingly, the whole class sucked on their breath as they wait with exepectancy on what his answer will be. He grin and proceeded

"That you all will die" He subconsciously cackled as every face in the classroom was reeling with shock and others were immediately retorted with anger. The once silent room became discordant.
Numerous noises of complaints echoed through the man's ear and there were some insults here and there. With a hum he can only hear, he went behind his desk.

The complaints got louder and louder until his left eyebrow gave a twitch and a loud 'SLAM' on the table

"SILENCE" With a calm but menacing voice, all noises stopped and silence one again reign in the room. The students all froze up as their professor's voice rattled through their bones and made their spines clatter with fear from the now menacing aura that surrounded their Professor

"Ah" He once again smiled, with his eyes closed, crinkling again from the corners of each eye "Much better. Now, shall we start our first lesson?"
With the once cheerful voice came back, he turned to the board and began with the lesson.

"What..the fuck?" Dwade Whispered with disbelief in his voice. The two girls sitting beside him agreed in his statement as they looked at their professor. The class was outraged when he stated that they will all die. As some were affected with their pride. With still wide eyes, almost everyone were wondering what exactly had happened .

Luna, turned at her two friends who was whispering with eachother, amusement spark in her as she heard around her on how intimidating their professor were. That, she will agree on as she regard the man who was still writing on the board.
"Alright!"The man in question turned to the class and pointed at the board "Now, can anyone please tell me what comes into your mind when you see this two words?"

Moments after that, a hand was raised and A brown haired boy spoke  "Dragons are noble creatures that were born in this world even before humans came and as for The land of Draqar, this is the name of our land."

Professor Murlynd nod approvingly "Correct" he said "Anyone else?" . Soon hands were raised. Each one of them was accepted and Moments on, he put out a hand to signal the remaining hands to go down and continued. "You are all right on your answers. Now-"

"-As you all previously stated, Dragons are ancient and powerful beings. They existed centuries before We, humans came and made the Land we all know today prosper. Dragons and Humans were divided in the first era, for our ancestors had not touched on the possibility on being able to bond to a dragon and Because of that, humans began to hunt and kill dragons for food and vice versa and that resulted into battles after battles. Both the dragon's and our population began to dwindle until it became half and half."

He paused and looked at the students seriously " It began to be a tug-of-war on who may lose and who may win as the battles began to escalate. But some humans began to protest and tried to stop the impending doom that they know will come if they don't stop. And soon, they were able change and tried to have an understanding with the Dragons."
"And before long, peace began to ascended into the land. And then a miracle happened, the son of the Founder of this academy had been the first ever human to have bonded with a dragon,
thus humans and dragons alike came to an understanding and all battles had stopped" He stated to the students who had garnered their attention to him. He smiled in his mind when he noticed that all of them were paying atttention and then continued.
