Chapter 28

JasonPOV
I wake up in one of the guest rooms downstairs. I had the worst night ever. I couldn't sleep at all with Aria in my head. I can't believe she ended things...I understand why but...we could've worked through this...right? I get out of bed, ready to face this fucking day and go house searching with Khalil and Fredo.

AriaPOV
I brushed my teeth and tried to cover up the bags under my eyes and tear stained cheeks with makeup. Last night was hell but..it was sort of nice to have my mom comforting me. I brushed my hair as best I could and when it looked decent enough, I walked out of the bathroom; hoping not to run into Jason. I looked both ways before seeing Brice come out of her room with Khalil's shirt and....sex hair....no.

I look at her with my mouth gaping open and she looks at me with rosy cheeks of embarrassment.

"You didn't" I say.

She gives me a small smile and nods

"Protection"I ask.

Her face goes pale. Shit.

" I can't believe Khalil forgot to put on a damn condom" Brice groans in the passengers seat.

"Calm down...it was you guys first night of rekindling your romance...he wasn't thinking about that..just you" I say.

"Plus..this is a good excuse to leave the house."I add.

"Yea but your mom and mine think we're going to pick up some clothes for ourselves and them."Brice says.

I look into the mirror to see that Cameron is still following behind me with the other car and sierra and Mara in it. The boys had us take smaller cars cause a van would attract too much attention and we're not trying to get in another gang fight.

"Its so weird to say my mom and your mom" I say

"Yea...I'm sort of happy that the whole thing with Vince happened...in a way it was a good thing"

I don't reply as I try not to remember the near death experience that basically happened 24,hours ago.

"I heard you and Jason last night." Brice adds.

The mood in the car goes down and I immediately turn the radio on. Brice tries to talk over it but I just turn it up. She flips me off before looking out the window.

"Aria stop walking so fast...I just need the morning after pill and you walked past it." She says

I turn around and pick it up as I walk to clothes racks and pick a few random pieces of clothing.

"Your not doing a very good job at hiding your feelings"

"Oh how would you know when you hide a whole bunch of shit from Khalil" I snap.

She looks at me in disbelief and I sigh.

"I'm sorry Brice.. I'm just having a hard time with this whole break up and losing my dad and my mom being here..and you being my sister." I say as we walk to the checkout counter.

"I know its a lot for me...I just saw my own daughter...but that doesn't mean you take it out on others....deal with it at your own pace." I smile and nod as we place our items on the counter.

"Hi I'm Alex...Alex from target."

"And in Aria...Aria from here" I say as I look at him weirdly.

I pay him and then Brice and I get the rest of the girls before going to our cars.

KhalilPOV
"OK its settled..we'll get that house. The payment was sent in just now"Jason says.

I nod.

"Hey man...I heard your break up with Aria last night, I'm here for you man...no matter what." I say.

"Oh like you were here for me while working with Vince's crew" He glares.

"That's in the past. In trying to change now...for Brice."

"Fuck that shit man..your still the same."

"Hey listen your the one who killed his girlfriends father...oh wait...ex"

He glares before throwing a punch my way. I get knocked to the floor but I stand quickly and throw some punches his way, nailing him a couple times. We are pulled apart by Chaz and Ryan.

"Guys knock it off would ya."Ryan snaps.

"Yea..things aren't easy on any of us right now" Chaz adds

Jason pulls out of Ryan's grip.

"Have your shits packed tonight. We leave for our new home tomorrow."Jason says before exiting.

The girls walk in and the tension slowly leaves the room as I walk over to greet my baby.

"I'll take those" I say taking her shopping bags.

"Um Khalil" She says before whispering in my ear. I go pale and follow her upstairs.

AriaPOV
"Believe me...I'm gonna miss you the mist.. your my sister." I say to a teary eyed Brice.

She gives me a hug and I say Bye to the rest of the gang...except Jason..it hurts that he didn't come to say bye...he knew I was leaving.

"Sweetie...its time."My mom says. I wave back at the gang before getting in the rental car with Alice and my mom.

I'm joining my mothers gang...its not exactly criminal...they just stop the bad people...the ones who make lies and kill innocent people...the ones who hurt and cause pain for others. She established it when she left my father and as for Alice..we are dropping her at her home where she can return to normal...she doesn't want to be part of this life...I don't blame her.
