Things ended up a little different, since you left
The air seems to be a little colder
People seems to be a little less bolder
Hiding from their friends, hiding from themselves
Time passes us by
As we busy ourselves with life
Memories flew away
And dreams remains as that, dreams
Did everyone changed or was I the only one?
I looked back to the picture we once held dear
And thought, memories from the past will stay in the past
And we make new ones with what we have in the present and what we'll have in the future
But aren't people sentimental?
Holding to what has left
Ignoring what is right in front of us
Regretting the choice we made
And pondering to what we could have chosen
Though mistakes made are normal
Learning from them is experience
Moving forward is survival
And just plain protection from people around us
We build up walls
For people to break
We live our life
Even if we suffer
And that's just that
Or so I thought
